Rifugio 1111 In Selvino

A must-see in Selvino. Above 16 degrees Celsius, you can enjoy excellent views. Prices have risen over the years, and the chairlift is perhaps a bit pricey, but it's worth it. Families should try the adventure park.

A wonderful refuge with a warm, family atmosphere. It's the best in the area for the excellent quality of its cuisine, from casonsei (a type of pasta), spazle (a type of pasta), and gnocchi, to main courses like braised beef and rabbit. The wine and tiramisu are exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone passing through the Seriana Valley.

There are two ways to reach the refuge: either by chairlift or on foot. On foot, it's a lovely 15-20 minute walk along a wide, panoramic path. At the top, there's an adventure park with safe courses for all ages. You'll also find farm animals: goats, donkeys, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits... Rifugio 1111 is a welcoming place where you can stop to breathe in the fresh, clean air and enjoy traditional Bergamo breakfasts, aperitifs, snacks, or lunches.

Stunning view of Mount Pruito at 1,111 meters (that's the name of the refuge). Excellent lunch, excellent and attentive waiters. Ms. Sabrina, both at the cash register and at the table service, was wonderful. She was a sweet and affable person unlike any other. Well done everyone. I will definitely be back. A charming place with a beautiful view. We had the pork shank, which was delicious and plentiful, and the casoncelli, which I thought were a bit overpriced for the price! But overall, it was all good.

A small, Alpine-style restaurant, hence the nickname "rifugio," easily accessible from the center of Selvino. Standard dishes, good value. Stunning views. We'll definitely be back.

I went to Rifugio 1111 for a family lunch. The location was excellent, with a beautiful view of the valley. Service was prompt, and the staff were young, friendly, and attentive. As for the food, the quality was excellent and the portions generous. The only flaw that kept me from giving it a full score was a plate of pasta in bianco (white pasta) ordered by one of the family members: it was poor, even though the receipt indicated it as "pasta in bianco (white pasta) for an adult," and it was overpriced for the portion itself. Overall, the experience was positive; I will definitely return.

A refuge at the summit of Mount Purito, overlooking the town of Selvino. The panoramic view from the outdoor terrace is beautiful. It's also great for a refreshing aperitif after the climb (about a 20-minute walk on a paved road with some challenging slopes). The refuge can also be reached by chairlift.

Easily accessible on foot via a paved path starting from Via Fiume Serio, where you can leave your car. The hike takes about 15-20 minutes. It's quite uphill but manageable with small children, strollers, and people unfamiliar with the mountains. Near the refuge, there's a very nice adventure park and a mini farm with chickens, donkeys, rabbits, and geese. The refuge is spacious with indoor and outdoor tables. The terrace offers a great view! I personally ate the platter with a beer and a bottle of water. The price was affordable and the quality was excellent (€17). The refuge can also be reached by chairlift (€4 one-way). The trail to the summit of Monte Purito starts from the refuge. The staff are welcoming and helpful. They're always smiling, as always in mountain locations. The service is quick. It's very crowded on weekends. If you'd like to have lunch, it's advisable to book in advance.
