Rarely write reviews on here but left here feeling incredibly disappointed on our first night in Tuscany. We started with a soup, which tasted bland. The mains were passable, the pasta was where it clawed back a star, but the beef carpaccio, covered in raw mushrooms, was, in my opinion, mediocre. Wasn’t too keen on the ‘formal’ atmosphere, but it is a lovely building and some other guests looked like they were enjoying it. Preference, I guess. Staff were friendly and professional. Price was far too high for what it was. Wrote this as hope it helps the restaurant improve in a couple areas as it is in a fantastic location.

The "Michelin Star" rating that everyone refers to is misleading. It is not a Michelin Star restaurant. The food was good, nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. The service was great from our young waiter. We had a good experience, but nothing you can't get at most other Tuscan restaurants. Don't let the talk of "Michelin" make you think this restaurant cannot be missed. Manage your expectations. It was too expensive for what it was.

Today we ate at Pode with friends from Bologna, one of whom is originally from Argentina, and therefore Florentine. As always, Pode is a sure thing. Guaranteed food, service, and ambiance. The best of the best.

20/09/2025: Unfortunately, I only went there on my last evening. A very nice place, super friendly service – they also speak German – and the food is simply goooooood. One of the best pizzas and the burger – slightly pink with arugula, Parmesan, and olive oil. The whole thing wrapped in a crispy coating. Simply unbeatable. I'll be back next time. Thanks.

01/11/2025: The restaurant is located in the center of Castellina in Chianti, making it easy to get to from wherever you parked. It's a busy area, so it's not the right place for those seeking tranquility. The food is very good and excellent value. The menu varies based on the season and the availability of fresh ingredients. Excellent service (with room for improvement due to the young staff; there's always time), a great atmosphere, and a wide selection of wines. Thank you.
26/10/2025: Excellent porcini mushrooms steak, superb wine list with top-quality wines and sparkling wines. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff is attentive and ready to make you feel at home. I recommend it and will definitely return. Well done!
