Restaurant Hoamat & Hotel Des Alpes In Stelvio

In my opinion, it was too expensive. There are far more upscale restaurants for the same price. But the food was good.

The food and service were top-notch.

We've been to HOAMAT many times and have always enjoyed top-notch service and exceptionally friendly service. Whether it's a quick business lunch, a family meal, or our Christmas parties – it's always been a delightful experience for everyone! HOAMAT is also highly recommended for its large summer events. All in all, simply TOP-NOTCH!

Mmmmmhhhhhhh, simply delicious food

The Hoamat is a beautiful inn in a fantastic location, and on a previous visit, I gave it a 5-star rating. However, the day before yesterday, we had the "Knödelroas with Beer Tasting" event, and if, like most of our group of six, you were there for the first time, that's not advertising and gives no reason to come back. Firstly, we had reserved a table for six and ended up sitting very, very close together with six other guests. When we complained, the waitress told us it was always like that, but then said she would try to find a solution. The manager replied, "Then we wouldn't be allowed to come to an event like that." Secondly, you had to wait in line for at least 15 minutes for the dumpling buffet. This could certainly be solved better by setting up two buffet rows. We had the impression that they were cramming as many people as possible into the restaurant to maximize profit. Whether this is a long-term benefit is another question.

We were at the Bier&Knödl-Roas (Beer & Dumpling Roas) in the Hoamat, and the young waiter (Benjamin) was world-class. Very friendly, quick, and full of energy. A great guy.

As always, simply excellent! Tables near the kitchen area are not recommended; the lady in the kitchen has a very loud voice and you can hear the entire process.

A rather big site, we got a bit wondering when we stumbled in to a party in the restaurant. But everything got fine, the room was flawless and the restaurant standard - totally overwhelming. Fantastic salmon, an out of the world creme brûlée, and a 2019 Nigl Hochäcker Riesling.
