My favorite restaurant in Siena The most interesting first courses are squid ink rice and tagliolini with fresh tuna and bottarga. The second courses are a bit limited in quantity, but with excellent cuts of beef, rabbit, and lamb. The wines are very interesting, especially the reds and Nobile. The red brick interior features photos of celebrities who have frequented the restaurant. A must.

Business lunch, excellent experience

Sienese history and flavors: convinced, but not entirely satisfied Entering this historic restaurant, I was prepared for the usual tourist trap that thrives on its profits. Instead, I had to change my mind, or at least partially. The service was a war machine: courteous and fast waiters, capable of making us feel at home despite the crowded dining room. But let's get to the point: when the first course arrived, the intense aroma hit me like a friendly slap. However, it's not all gold. While I was enjoying my dish, one of my fellow diners noticed a few technical glitches: the meat arrived just a bit overcooked and the side dish was a bit bland. Even the portions, to be honest, could be more generous given the bill. A solid, tasty experience, but with just enough room for improvement and a few imperfections to iron out to fully justify the price.

Simply excellent. Beautiful and welcoming place. The staff were extremely kind and attentive to every detail. The risotto was fabulous, as were the other first courses we ordered for a quick Sunday lunch. Prices were average, but the quality was truly excellent! If you're in the center of Siena, it's definitely worth a stop.

We were in Siena for the day and asked our tour guide for a local recommendation for lunch. He did not disappoint! The restaurant has fantastic food with equally friendly staff. The food is fantastically fresh. We tried to polenta, croquettes, anchovies with eggplant, octopus and tagliatelle ragu. We wish we were staying in Siena to go back again!

I went to a restaurant today after looking at the wrong menu online. After sitting down, I realized I'd come to the wrong place. Unfortunately, since the menu was heavily meat/fish-based, I couldn't eat there because I'm vegetarian/vegan. When I explained the situation to the staff, they were understanding and wouldn't even let me pay for the water I drank. I'd like to thank the restaurant again for their understanding.

A lovely restaurant in the center of Siena. I chose it for the atmosphere that was evident in the photos, and they were true to form. A beautiful, old-fashioned place. The service was prompt and accurate, and the waiters were courteous, despite the large number of people in the dining room (we went for Sunday lunch). The food was good, and my main course (duck breast) was very good. The price was slightly above average for my city (Livorno), but perhaps it's average for Siena, especially considering the location. I would gladly return.
