Restaurant Finsterwirt Oste Scuro In Bressanone

We had a wonderful lunch in a relaxed atmosphere on the second floor, and will be back for dinner next time.

Hidden away in an alleyway in Brixen's old town, the entrance to this restaurant's gardens and terraces is hard to imagine. The cozy atmosphere created by the Virginia creeper covering the terraces immediately makes you want to stay. The courteous and stylish welcome continues this initial impression. As for the menu, it's a wonderful discovery with delicious and superbly presented dishes. Veal sauté on mashed potatoes and a bed of chanterelles surrounded by a green sauce... A melt-in-the-mouth delight! Followed by candied strawberries macerated in a strawberry cream and a basil ice cream that will surprise you. Identified by Gault & Millau, it's remarkable! The white wine from the monks of the Novacella Abbey, 2km from Brixen, envelops everything with very floral and citrus aromas. What a magnificent discovery! And a waiter with a sweet tooth...

While visiting Bressanone, I decided to treat myself for lunch and opted for Oste Scuro. I must say, I couldn't have made a better choice. The dishes are perfectly balanced in flavor and quantity. The price is in line with the quality and ambiance.

Beautiful and pleasant restaurant in the center of Brixen.

During a short tour of South Tyrol, I booked a table for dinner with my wife. The dishes were well-presented, original, and balanced. The service was friendly and professional. A bonus was the terrace covered in grapevines, which made the evening even more pleasant. A price tag of €170 for two seems in line with the overall quality. Downstairs in the garden, there's also a wine bar with a smaller menu.

Mittwoch war Schnitzeltag. Leckeres Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat für 26€. Aufmerksame freundlich Bedienung. Gerne immer wieder.

Wir haben auf Empfehlung eines Ehepaars, das wir in einer Vinothek in Kaltern kennengelernt haben, eine Reservierung beim Finsterwirt getätigt. Wir hatten keinerlei Erwartungen an den Abend und sind aus allen Wolken gefallen - das Essen und der Service waren durchweg exzellent. Wir haben zu acht je 3 Gänge gegessen und somit einen guten Überblick über den Geschmack und die Variation der angebotenen Speisen erhalten. In dem urigen Ambiente wurden wir köstlich umsorgt und drei Personen unserer acht-köpfigen Reisegruppe haben die besten Puttanesca ihres Lebens essen dürfen. Gekrönt wurde das tolle Essen von charmant, höflichem Personal. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, das Team beim Finsterwirt macht einen herausragenden Job - DANKE!
