South Tyrolean delicacies you must experience

A typical restaurant in the center of Bressanone/Brixen, it's certainly not a place I'd recommend to a quick visit. You have to be prepared to dig deep into your wallet, and in this case, it's worth it. I found excellent South Tyrolean recipes revisited to the point of local culinary transgression, but it was worth it. I was greeted very attentively and politely, and the expert and knowledgeable staff guided me through the menu. The same goes for the wine pairing. I repeat, the bill is relatively "hefty," but once you leave this place, you'll feel like you're on a high. 😂

We wanted a quick bite to eat for lunch and discovered the Finsterwirt restaurant. It's located on the first floor with a beautiful terrace overgrown with Virginia creeper, allowing you to sit in the shade as well as comfortably. The atmosphere is wonderful and the location is beautiful. We ordered the spaghetti with octopus from the lunch menu. It was an absolute delight, as was the dessert. The service from the staff was excellent. Always present, but never intrusive. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely eat there again.

I visited for lunch two days ago, made a dinner reservation, and returned for dinner as planned. The appetizers, pasta, and dessert were all delicious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the last Bressanone.

The restaurant and wine shop, Vitis Enoteca, are located in one building and belong together. Here, modern and classic design are combined in a remarkable way, creating a culinary experience. The welcome is warm but professional, the service is also warm, friendly, and first-class, and the food and wine recommendations are excellent. Each course and each wine tasting is explained as you serve it. Perfect! We had a table on the terrace, which is completely covered and covered with grape-laden vines that continue along the sides, so you don't really feel like you're outside. A beautiful place! Airy, pleasant on hot days. Clearly recommended, and we'll be back!

I went there for my birthday, to enjoy a romantic dinner with my wife. The restaurant is simply amazing: delicious and good variety of dishes, great wine selection and very friendly and professional service. I totally recommend it. Their terrace is amazing!

Wir haben auf Empfehlung eines Ehepaars, das wir in einer Vinothek in Kaltern kennengelernt haben, eine Reservierung beim Finsterwirt getätigt. Wir hatten keinerlei Erwartungen an den Abend und sind aus allen Wolken gefallen - das Essen und der Service waren durchweg exzellent. Wir haben zu acht je 3 Gänge gegessen und somit einen guten Überblick über den Geschmack und die Variation der angebotenen Speisen erhalten. In dem urigen Ambiente wurden wir köstlich umsorgt und drei Personen unserer acht-köpfigen Reisegruppe haben die besten Puttanesca ihres Lebens essen dürfen. Gekrönt wurde das tolle Essen von charmant, höflichem Personal. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, das Team beim Finsterwirt macht einen herausragenden Job - DANKE!
