Restaurant Apollonia In Nalles

Excellent restaurant for its cuisine, location, and staff. Recommended.

It was fantastic! Service, ambiance & atmosphere! Be careful if arriving by car, the mountain roads are very narrow and very steep.

After visiting the St. Apollonia Chapel, we treated ourselves to a short break in the outdoor area of ​​the inn, situated at an altitude of 930 meters. We enjoyed not only the unspoiled nature and the breathtaking view across meadows and forests to the Rosengarten and Schlern mountains, but also fortified ourselves with homemade pasta with spinach and a delicious dessert. A perfect reward for the strenuous hike up here.

For a special meal, the Apollonia Inn is a great place. The dishes looked and tasted delicious. When we were there, they offered vegan chestnut cream soup and potato rösti with various vegetables and cream. Unfortunately, the soup was only partially vegan. It should have also included beetroot and potato fritters. Furthermore, the portions weren't very large, so we were feeling a bit hungry again after a short while. We commend their commitment to catering to vegans. A vegan "standard" or simple dish would be the next logical step.

Well, what can I add that hasn't already been said? Fantastic food from a small menu. South Tyrolean classics with an Italian twist. Plus, a focus on regional ingredients, but not overdone. Our service was truly delightful and very attentive. And then, of course, the covered terrace offers a picture-perfect panoramic view of the valley. There's a nice playground for children in front of the building. Prices are slightly on the high side, but almost too good to be true considering the quality. The selection of local non-alcoholic beers was a pleasant surprise. You can definitely see a trend there. A detour from the valley is well worth it, especially when it's over 30 degrees Celsius "down below." Reservations are recommended.

Excellent and original food with a strong focus on local produce; the staff is particularly attentive and friendly. The restaurant is refined and elegant, and the location is stunning, with views of the Dolomites. Not "cheap," but reasonably priced. Recommended, even for a "bella figura" lunch.
