Relais Le Macine di Stigliano In Sovicille

Booked 2 nights at Relais Le Macine di Stigliano with very short notice. It is only 20 minutes drive away from Siena, in a pretty and quiet location. The rooms are nicely renovated, spacious and quiet. The pool area is beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good and varied (not always the case with Italian places). Staff was great, was super helpful when asking for tips and recommendations about restaurants and what to see. Very recommended!

Beautiful place, total relaxation.

Beautiful hotel in the countryside of Tuscany with an amazing view, nice pool, and good breakfest, as well as an excellent service. Highly recommended. Parking for free. Minor room for improvement: Sauna and jacuzzi for a surcharge.

Wonderful place with clean and well-kept rooms. The pool is very nice as is the whole complex. It is perfect for both a couple and a worker: good wi-fi and the rooms are equipped with a desk, air conditioning that regulates well and an air filter. The breakfast was disappointing, meager, with a terrible cappuccino, burning and without foam.

The Relais is idyllic and very quiet, blending picturesquely into its surroundings. During the renovation of the old building, great care was taken to preserve the original character of the house, yet nothing is lacking in terms of amenities and comfort. Our room (Deluxe King Size) was beautiful and very spacious. The house and the entire complex are very well-maintained and clean. We were particularly enchanted by Mallory, the hotel dog, a wonderfully well-behaved and sweet Golden Retriever. The ladies at reception and the restaurant staff were also extremely friendly and very accommodating. Here, the guest truly is king. We ate in the restaurant three evenings, where not only is the seating very charming, but the food is also excellent. Compliments to the chef. The only drawback for us was that there were no parasols by the pool, making it almost unbearable during the day. In the late afternoon, however, some shade falls into the garden, and you can still relax wonderfully. We didn't specifically ask for shade, though.

Everything was impeccable, with no negative comments. I would return again. Recommended.

A dream weekend in a wonderful place. The relais is enchanting, with attention to the smallest details... an escape from the frenetic city life. Waking up in the morning immersed in the colors and melody of nature...open the window and find yourself surrounded by an indescribable beauty with the chirping of birds as a backdrop. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was a wonderful treat, especially on the first day when we took advantage of the wonderful sun to have it on the tables outside, a complete buffet with everything for all tastes. One evening we also tried dinner in the relais restaurant (la merla) and we ate divinely, compliments to the chef and greetings to the very kind waiter. Special thanks to Chiara and Matilde, the girls at reception, who welcomed us, pampered us and recommended the best places to visit and where to eat. We stayed with our little dog who was pampered and welcomed by everyone in a wonderful way, and obviously made friends with Mallory, the special mascot of the relais! Thank you very much for making these days so enchanting. We can't wait to come and visit you again!🥰

This place is beautiful just like the photos. Onsite parking and easy to access. The views from the rooms are beautiful. Service was great.

What an incredible experience. My wife and I stayed here to kick off our trip to Italy for a family wedding nearby. The Relais was amazing. The staff and service were extraordinary. We felt so welcome and taken care of. They were mindful of dietary restrictions at meals and helpful however possible. Our room was spacious, the grounds are atop a hill in the Tuscan countryside. Absolutely beautiful. About a 20 minute drive from Siena and an hour south of Florence. Highly recommend staying here.

Un restaurante encantador. Presentación estilo Michelin y comida. El ambiente es excelente. Muy bien decorado y suntuoso mobiliario. Precios razonables por la cantidad y calidad de los alimentos. El servicio fue perfecto.
