Excellent cuisine, spartan but natural environment, top-notch organization.

Very nice place, we tried the polenta with wild boar and the one with mushrooms. The one with wild boar was good, the one with mushrooms was so spicy it was unbearable. Recommended.

Easily accessible from Abetone and a starting point for more challenging hikes, the cottage provides a delicious meal in the shade of the forest.

Nice menu at fair prices. I only had a coffee, and it was unfortunately awful. There's a beautiful view of the mountains above. Arriving from the town of Abetone, start at the barrier closing the road (you can park your car beforehand), and continue to a picnic area with water and benches. Continuing on the left, the road is more wooded, while the right is a smoother road until about the last 500 meters. For those arriving with a stroller, I recommend having at least two people traveling together, due to this last, more challenging section.

Since it's been in the hands of these Emilian owners, La Casetta has been reborn!! The location and nature are as magnificent as ever, but now you'll find true hospitality, cheerfulness, professionalism, and a desire to work hard. In the summer, they're always open, even in inclement weather, smiling, and happy to serve customers. Excellent food, fair prices. What more could we ask for?

A small refuge without accommodations, friendly staff, good food. The only downside for me is that it closes very early, around 4:00 PM.

Coming back from an intense trail on Cimone, amidst the clouds and cold wind, I decided to have a quick and easy coffee at the refuge. A very pleasant chat with who I think is one of the owners started. Good coffee but let's leave that aside, here what counts is the experience, which was positive. I saw happiness and sunshine despite the adverse weather. I visit that area very often but I had never treated myself to a coffee here. From now on it will be a ritual I cannot do without. I returned to the valley happy! Thank you very much!

Very relaxing place, beautiful landscape, good food, slightly high price, but justified for the location in which it is located.

Nice mountain refuge in a beautiful location. Too bad it's closed in winter.... Useful external benches with table, beautiful wooden sculpture of the mushroom seller..... Let's hope it's open at least in the summer......
