Ratana' In Milano

Drawn by the chef's cute videos, I rushed to City Life for the first time in my life for lunch at Ratanà. Parking isn't registered on Gmaps. The atmosphere is nice, nothing special; the City Life location seems cold to me. I had a truffle risotto, €80, and they didn't cut and weigh it at the table. It might be my fault for not usually looking at prices, but if I had seen it, I would have avoided it. Decent flavor, even too bland for me. Nothing exceptional. Then the mushroom skewer on mashed potatoes, a canteen dish, failed. Total €110, and they didn't serve coffee. The staff seemed average. I wanted a bitter, but the selection at the bar seemed poor. I won't go back, and yet it's always sold out.

I've been following Cesare Battisti for a while; his cuisine intrigued me, and I wanted to try it for lunch. Expectations were very high, and... they weren't disappointed. Congratulations to everyone. More than a brigade, it was an army of attentive and harmonious young people... and then the food, speechless. Excellent products, expertly cooked and presented. The only drawback... I don't eat meat, and I would have expected more choice. Parking... A slap in the face to whoever wrote "difficulties," etc. There are two different parking lots 50 meters away, of course, paid, but that's the case everywhere in Milan. Let's hope for the next administration, but that has nothing to do with this... All things considered, it was a positive experience and definitely worth trying. Well done everyone.

Excellent gourmet restaurant. Must try!

5 course tasting menu at Ratana was in a way a disappointment. Not much to complain about food as everything was tasty, but on the other hand nothing was extraordinarily good, but something one can get in any decent osteria, just presented stylishly. 2 hour time slot allowed for the table is a bit short for this menu making the service hasty and indifferent. We expected more and unfortunately our expectations were not met.

I'd like to say that it's impossible to find fault with their cuisine, their service, or their ambiance. But I always leave the path to perfection open.

It's hard to comment on a place like this because the quality is certainly high (but easy). Everything was very good and well-presented, although I found the various dishes a bit too salty (but I'm someone who doesn't eat much salt). The tripe had too much sage (see photo), while a plate of gnocchi arrived only after a reminder but was discounted on the bill (without saying anything, I discovered it outside.... Really great). Definitely worth a try 👍

We had a great experience at Rataná, with a very nice atmosphere and excellent food, especially the Risotto alla Vecchia Milano and the truly amazing Potato Gnocchi. We'll definitely be back.

Always a guarantee, among the best restaurants in Milan. The only regret is that it's increasingly difficult to book.

A simply extraordinary experience We tried this restaurant and it was exceptional, a carefully crafted and surprising journey of flavors. I chose braised beef and tortellini, both impeccable, rich in flavor and perfectly executed. My husband opted for the delicate trout and a creamy and intense risotto alla Milanese, truly memorable. A fantastic experience in every way: top-quality, authentic and captivating cuisine. Unfortunately, we live outside of Italy, otherwise this restaurant would be a must-visit. Absolutely unforgettable.
