L'eccellenza delle materie prime permette un tuffo nell'infanzia dove ritrovare sapori genuini e autentici, possibili purtroppo solo a certe latitudini. Il pesce mangiato qui è indimenticabile e rende nullo o inutile il consumo dello stesso in qualunque altro luogo d'Italia a meno che non lo si sappia cucinare a casa e si abbia la fortuna di vivere in città con ottime pescherie! La cortesia del personale e la preparazione dei panificati di Falcone rendono questo posto una meravigliosa esperienza totale.

A very pleasant summer venue, with excellent quality food (you can choose between a pizzeria and a restaurant) and prompt and courteous service. To the usual "winter" specialties for which Toro Nero is well known in the area, it combines a summer menu based on fish inspired by tradition but with an innovative look. The tartares are excellent, as always, highlighting both the quality of the raw material and the respect in treating it. Tasty and light fried seafood, very good pasta with lobster with two cherry tomatoes and "marina" cheese and pepper. Among the desserts they also offer one of the best Tartufi di Pizzo, Calabrian ice creams that you absolutely must try.

27/04/2025: Compared to the average restaurant, Trattoria del Lago is a couple of steps above. The environment is simple, a little dated and not particularly well looked after. The service is also efficient, dedicated to substance and without too many frills. Having said that, since one goes to the restaurant to eat, let's see how the owners have disengaged. Mixed appetizers with fish with onions, baby pancakes, fish with salad, octopus, fish balls with sauce, stuffed mussels. All good. The choice of first courses is absolutely basic... too basic Spaghetti with clams, mussels or tomato... too little However the spaghetti with clams was good. We also tasted a portion of mixed fried shrimp and calamari... good. Finally a peppered mussel...this is also good. Water, wine and soft drinks. 43 euros per person... in my opinion a little too much for a decent but too limited menu, maximum profit with minimum investment. You pay a little more in much nicer restaurants, with better service and an extremely varied menu.
13/04/2025: Excellent food, shame I paid €16 for two plates of penne with tomato sauce (overcooked, by the way). However, the price is excessive.

26/04/2025: Este fue uno de los restaurantes favoritos que visitamos mientras estábamos en Taormina. La energía en el restaurante es impresionante y la pizza es para morirse! Las porciones increíbles y los precios son muy razonables. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar!
27/02/2025: Tienes que salir de la calle principal para encontrar las cosas emocionantes en Taormina y lo hicimos. Giramos a la izquierda, por una de esas pequeñas calles laterales y nos encontramos con un excelente restaurante - no hay mucho que mirar en las primeras apariciones, pero no se deje engañar. Comida magnífica. Excelente vino. Fabuloso servicio atento. Una verdadera muestra de dónde estábamos. Y me encantó el hecho de que después de nuestra impresionante pasta, nos preguntaron qué queríamos para nuestro plato principal. No podíamos encajar más. ¡Qué pena!
