27/04/2026: After six years, I've returned to Osvaldo's, and I must say my opinion has improved compared to the past.
The pizza remains average, especially when eaten while still hot. The dough is thin, which isn't my cup of tea, but I understand it's in line with Piacenza's tastes, so it makes sense that it hasn't changed much over the years.
The real difference compared to my previous experience is the toppings, which I found much more successful and capable of enhancing the overall flavor of the pizza. I tried the Piacentina DOP for the first time, which I highly recommend. The tiramisu was also very good, with a homemade flavor, as it should be.
Regarding the service: the youngest member of the staff was extremely kind, and his presence made the evening more enjoyable. My colleagues, on the other hand, could perhaps be a little more cheerful—they seemed a bit dull—but overall, they were still helpful.
I really appreciated the fact that they let us stay past closing time without making us feel bad. Ultimately, Osvaldo remains a good choice for a dinner in the city center, just steps from Piazza Cavalli, perhaps paired with an evening stroll when temperatures permit. An experience that has certainly improved compared to the past.
