Quattroventi Comfort Food In Palermo

Small, elegant restaurant with excellent cuisine and excellent service. We found it by chance and felt right at home. I highly recommend it.

I'm glad I came here on my last day in Palermo. The service and ambiance are a 5/5. The food is a 7/5. There's nothing to complain about here. The price is absolutely reasonable. It's an insider tip, as it's outside the city center and not too crowded with tourists.

I thought I'd already tried all the best restaurants in Palermo, and I had my own personal ranking that I hardly felt I needed to change, but Quattro Venti has shaken things up and has rightfully entered my top three in the Sicilian capital. Located on a side street, yet still centrally located (a crossroads of the shopping street), the restaurant immediately presents itself as original and elegant, but certainly not snobbish. The wait staff is top-notch, friendly, I'd say impeccable. The chef occasionally pops into the dining room to make sure his "creations" are appreciated, which is understandable if, as I think I've gathered, he's also the owner of the restaurant. The dishes are a triumph of flavors, combinations that are a joy for the palate, with careful use of raw materials, and strictly fresh fish. Meat options are also available. I had a seafood salad that my taste buds still remember, a cacio e pepe, and even though I was full, I couldn't resist the grilled amberjack, delicious. To conclude, the best lemon ice cream (with ginger) I've ever eaten. Satisfied, I go to the checkout; the bill was more than fair and balanced for how much and how well I ate. Full marks.

We had a wonderful evening at Quatroventi. A great opportunity to indulge during our stay in Palermo with Sicilian cuisine that was both typical and refined. To start, we enjoyed a local gin and tonic as appetizers, then we enjoyed the Levente tasting menu, which featured the chef's specialties. It was exclusively seafood, a real treat for me, as I'm not a big fan of meat. The pairing with local wines was perfect! The staff was attentive and friendly. A quick word of reassurance about the neighborhood near the port. We walked there and back from the historic center. While you may have to go through some working-class neighborhoods, that doesn't mean it's dangerous! You can also avoid the smaller streets and stick to the more secure main roads. For us, it was a great opportunity to get out of the historic center and see Palermo!

One of the best places (perhaps the best) I've ever eaten at. Tasty, perfectly cooked food, beautifully displayed. The staff was attentive and fast.

I’m SO glad I came here for my last night in Sicily. This place put a unique spin on every dish. We enjoined every single bite. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. We had the eggplant foam appetizer, ceviche and the octopus. For dinner I had the cacio e pepe Sicilian style. My husband had this incredible garlic and oil pasta served with raw fish. We also tried all the desserts. This place is a must!

A lovely restaurant with special dishes. Especially nice for a small, special occasion. We were there on the last evening of our vacation and were excellently looked after. A friend doesn't eat fish and, without asking, was given an alternative dish from the kitchen. The chef sometimes serves us himself, which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The desserts were nowhere near as good as the excellent main courses. The house-made olive oil with salt was also great :)

Muy pocos clientes la noche que fuimos (espero que por lo general sea mejor frecuentado). Tuvimos el tartar de ternera con salsa inspirada en el tonnato. Morir por eso. El mejor plato que probé en toda la semana. Como principal tenía un trozo de atún fresco, cebolla roja y un poco de patata que era el especial del día. Decente pero nada especial. Buen y sabroso vino de catarata. Un plus que se podía ver al chef trabajando a través de una ventana. Personal amable.
