Quadri 2000 In Castel gandolfo

We recently went for lunch. Honestly, I had high expectations since some colleagues had mentioned it to me, and perhaps that's why I'm disappointed (spoiler alert). The menu is 80% fish and 20% meat, and the offerings include a good variety of appetizers, first courses, and second courses (and the usual average desserts). As mentioned, the buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto crudo (raw ham). The prosciutto was good quality, but the buffalo mozzarella (it was so small), like 90% of restaurants, is served cold... not even room temperature... The fish dishes actually looked nice, and those who ordered them confirmed the overall quality (although the fried foods had a bit too much oil leftover). Some friends and I ordered the fettuccine (with mushrooms and wild boar ragù). I presume to be able to judge the quality of a fettuccine, having eaten all kinds, especially homemade ones made by various people. Unfortunately, the ones at "I Quadri" lacked any of the fundamental characteristics of a good fettuccine. The pasta was extremely thick, which, combined with the al dente cooking, made it difficult (or impossible) to "wrap around a fork." It also lacked the roughness one expects from homemade pasta: the sauce literally ran off. Regarding the sauce, neither the mushroom nor the wild boar ones lived up to expectations, being rather liquid (disjointed) and lacking any distinct flavors. A real shame. The wine list is varied, but it's absurd that they don't include a red wine by the glass, only white. Coffee at the end: truly "a tear" in the cup. Yet we didn't ask for ristrettos... The service was courteous but not particularly precise: on several occasions we had to ask several times, attracting the attention of various waiters. In conclusion. An average experience that I could repeat only to taste the fish dishes which, in hindsight, seem to be the heart of this restaurant.

The food at Il Quadri is good: excellent fried food, fish, risotto with scampi cream, excellent cocktails, excellent meat, desserts, and oysters. The price is fair, and the atmosphere is great, even on rainy days. Pure relaxation. The pizza and bar are also excellent.

We had our wedding on October 29th. Everything was perfect: the mountain menu was delicious and plentiful, the service was prompt and attentive. Their cake was also beautiful and delicious. I'm so happy I chose it.

On October 24, 2025, the day of our wedding, excellent restaurant, excellent food, excellent service, in short, everything was beautiful, everything is in the right place, well done the guys, excellent organization..... Thanks ALSO to them and to all the staff at "QUADRI" that the ceremony went so well.... Thanks for the truly delicious and beautiful cake, an unexpected surprise! ❤️Thanks staff....

We went for lunch yesterday, always a guarantee, top-notch fettuccine with porcini mushrooms.

As always...exceptional. Excellent food. Impeccable and attentive service. Unquestionable location.

Excellent cuisine. Absolute relaxation...an oasis of peace.

When the Lord spoke of paradise he was certainly referring to the Castel Gandolfo establishment, cared for down to the smallest detail with a kind and always available staff. Not to mention the owners practically make you feel at home. An enchanting place surrounded by greenery, also recommended for beautiful aperitifs with a stunning view. Or for dinner at the restaurant next to the bar. Congratulations to the owners.

Mi sono trovato molto bene Cibo buono e una vista spettacolare.I camerieri molto educati e simpatici I prezzi sono più che onesti

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante con degli amici, e ci è piaciuto tantissimo.. a partire dalla location molto caratteristica.. il menù è davvero vario, offrono sia carne che pesce ma la scelta è davvero tanta.. abbiamo assaggiato polpo e patate in vasocottura, mix di carpacci e moscardini fritti.. tutto eccezionale.. come primo risotto alla crema di scampi, spaghetti alle vongole, paccheri all’astice e paccheri alla carbonara con tonno scottato.. tutti buonissimi, ma i migliori sicuramente i paccheri alla carbonara.. abbiamo preso due fritture miste da mettere in mezzo e anche queste buonissime.. due bottiglie di pecorino e un dolce.. il conto non era salato anzi.. a parer mio giusto.. ci torneremo sicuramente 🩷
