PTP Trattoria Del Convento In Barge

We arrived at the Locanda after a day of sports, quite pessimistic about whether they would be able to feed us since it was 5:45 pm, a time that is neither dinner nor lunch. Instead, to our great surprise, the restaurant does not close between lunch and dinner (at least in the summer, I don't know about other seasons) and is very willing to accommodate its guests! We agreed on a pretty good cutting board, they were kind because they offered us two sizes (and relative prices) of cutting board depending on how hungry we were, I found it very intelligent that they made the price explicit because at least that way there are no misunderstandings. We had a good time and we noticed that they were already setting the table for dinner and had several reservations, which confirms to me that the food is good. The outdoor area consists of wooden and metal benches and tables plus some plastic tables and chairs, there are also gazebos to offer shade to some tables so one can choose. In summary: recommended!

Quality food and wines....excellent welcome. Very clean place, furnished as I expect in a restaurant. The bathrooms are also very clean. The view is fabulous and the small village is a clear example of how to recover small mountain places. well done everyone!

Absolutely fantastic! It's worth all the thousand bends (strictly without guard rails) on the road to get there. A hymn to polenta and cured meats. It's a shame that the cold and the clouds prevented us from eating outside and admiring the view. After eating (and after having plundered the corner that sells the legendary 'Nero del re'), a visit to the rural charterhouse which gives its name to the restaurant.

We went to this inn on a Sunday for lunch and were immediately greeted with great friendliness. The dining room is very well kept, welcoming and clean. The guys are fantastic, always helpful and kind.. The courses from appetizer to dessert were all really good... their cured meats and meat were excellent. We will definitely be back!!

This place is located next to a convenient car park as a starting point for various paths. After a trek with a view of Monviso, we stopped for an aperitif: it was a wonderful experience. I recommend the cheese platter (amazing gorgonzola) and the cold cuts platter, produced directly by the owners: the quality was excellent, with portions that left us satisfied. They tell me the desserts were good too. We accompanied everything with some Autin barbera. The service was very kind and the environment is well kept. The bill is more than honest. I will gladly introduce it to other friends.

Exceptional food, all homemade, a warm and welcoming place with a breathtaking view, we have been several times and always left satisfied, congratulations!!!
