I was absolutely blown away by this restaurant! I ordered the frico, thinking I'd seen it all. Instead, this frico is something unique. Usually, my go-tos are my mom's frico (unbeatable), the historic one from Al Campanile restaurant in Cividale, and, alas, the unforgettable pancetta one, which has sadly closed its doors. But this... this is on another level! A flavor I've never had before, a real surprise. It's clear they know how to make frico here in Friuli, but this restaurant has definitely raised the bar. Highly recommended, yum!

We went there to take photos of the records, and it was perfect. German or English doesn't get you very far, so be sure to bring a translation app and install the language packs beforehand, as we had no reception there.

Dinner with friends. The place is a bit cold, almost like a canteen. But when the food arrives, everything else fades into the background, as everything is of excellent quality and carefully prepared. Good value for money.

Absolutely fantastic and genuine restaurant with incredibly good food. Very good staff, helpful and nice. The antipasto is in a class of its own, the pasta is one of the best we have eaten in Italy and the meat dishes we ate were incredibly good.

The plate of San Daniele ham, sausage, and local cheese was fantastic. A real treat. And a complimentary limoncello!

07/10/2025: Delicious food served in a very interestingly decorated restaurant. The service was wonderful and very helpful. It's worth returning.
18/09/2025: We went to Torate twice during our vacation in Carnia. Once, we ate delicious frico and polenta. The Sacher torte was a bit dry. The second time, we had pizza, and I have to say it was truly delicious. The service was impeccable, the waiters were very kind, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. RECOMMENDED.
