I went to this delicatessen for two days in a row. The first day, as soon as I arrived in Parma by bicycle, we had two sandwiches and a focaccia served by a truly competent, kind, and patient young man who, despite the place being quite busy, served us with great professionalism. The second day, I returned happy to make more purchases, but I was greeted in a completely different way. In fact, this time, there were two girls at the counter: one at the cash register who kept huffing and puffing, annoyed because the POS wasn't working, and with the annoyed voice of someone stressed out by work, she was very rude when giving directions to customers. The second girl serving at the counter never smiled, and she also answered my questions rudely. In fact, given their resemblance, I thought they were sisters. In any case, both of them are completely unprofessional, and if you see them, wait until the shift changes. You'll be served much better, and with a smile.

About the quality, nothing to say, but much too expensive

Maybe it was because we were working up an appetite, but when we went in to buy some typical products, I personally couldn't have left. Top quality, a selection to dig into, and prices... Oh well, quality has its price. The only downside was that it was Sunday and it was right in the center of town, so crowded that you had to get a number at the entrance. But a raw ham like this... drool-worthy!

The best place to buy typical Parma products

This is a historic prosciutto shop in the city center. It's a place loved by locals. For lunch, they made me a panini with Culatello and Parma prosciutto. It cost about 13 euros for two people. When I asked in my poor Italian if they could make a panini, they said (in general) yes. There were several types of bread to choose from. I chose filoncino, a flaky, pie-like bread, and whole wheat (integrale) bread. The whole wheat bread was average, but the filoncino was amazing. It was packed with prosciutto and was delicious. I ate it while walking. The panini is great!!!! Grazie mille
