We spent a pleasant evening at Enoteca Butticè, in the heart of Palermo. The restaurant offers impeccably prepared traditional Sicilian dishes, with a modern twist that still preserves the flavors of yesteryear. Each course strikes the perfect balance between innovation and respect for traditional cuisine, offering an authentic yet contemporary experience. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes are truly remarkable. You can sense the desire to enhance historic recipes while preserving their soul, but with contemporary technique and sensibility. The real strength is undoubtedly the extensive selection of wines and spirits, including international ones: a wide and refined menu, capable of satisfying both enthusiasts and those simply looking for the perfect accompaniment to dinner. The only downside is the noise: at a certain point during the evening, it became too crowded. Sitting inside near the register, we were a bit overwhelmed by the constant bustle of waiters coming out of the kitchen and people arriving and leaving. Overall, however, an address worth a visit, especially for those who love Sicilian tradition accompanied by an excellent selection of wines.

It's always a pleasure to return to this place. The spaces inside are cramped, the outside spaces aren't huge either, and the tables for two are truly minimal, but it's precisely the pleasure of conviviality and closeness that makes this place unique, pleasant to visit, and suitable for gatherings. The culinary offerings are often varied, both on and off the menu, and the place always offers delicious, fresh seafood dishes, with a fantastic revival of 1980s dishes. What makes Enoteca Butticė excellent, however, is its wine selection. You can sip anything, and by the glass you'll find everything from Sicilian to French wines, while the selection of bubbles ranges from local products to vintages to French champagnes. The paper placemats with the customer list, reminiscent of the blackboards found in old wine bars or taverns, are ingenious. In conclusion, if you're looking for a drink, want to share a delicious fish dish, or just want to chat with friends, and if you're looking for a drink, and if the prices are absolutely in line with what the city has to offer, you definitely can't miss this place. I consider it one of the best in Palermo.

We had octopus salad and salt cod – both were excellent, and the service was very friendly. It's best to make a reservation, as many locals come here to enjoy their evening. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Palermo.
