Just outside the center of Bergamo Alta. The food arrived lukewarm; I think it sat in the kitchen for a while before being brought to the table. Hot food would have certainly made a different impression. What a shame.

I went for the churrasco menu, and everything was excellent except the chicken, which fell off the bone too easily. I'm used to eating local chicken, and I can tell right away when it's not. I think they should remove it from the menu. The Carlo V beer is also very good but a bit pricey: a 33cl (average for them) costs €7, and there aren't many other options on tap. In my opinion, if you remove the chicken and lower the price of the beer, you're the best restaurant in the area.

We had lunch with some delicious casoncelli bresciani, after having finished the mopping up the plate seemed fresh from the dishwasher :) The beers were also good, the staff were kind and the place was very nice

I stopped for an aperitif, the choice and quality of the beers is truly remarkable, excellent draft, and since I was there I also stopped for lunch, I ate a hamburger, very good, the staff is really attentive and courteous, highly recommended place 😊

Nice place, but the beers are too expensive. A 33cl beer costs €7, which is way too much. Elsewhere, the average is 40cl, and in some places even 50cl, which costs less, with the same quality. The food is average, nothing special.

07/04/2026: A wonderful discovery. The refuge is accessible via an easy hike, suitable for virtually everyone. The view of the Bergamo mountains is priceless. The greatest joy was lunch: generous portions, affordable prices, and above all, everything was incredibly good. Being easily accessible, it was obviously packed, so during rush hour, you have to expect a queue to eat. The staff were friendly and courteous. They don't have a POS terminal, but it's listed on the website. We'll definitely be back. The only downside isn't the refuge itself, but the access method: parking is paid, but it's best to get a ticket before starting the climb, as not all parking lots have meters, the restaurants at the summit often run out of tickets, and the info point has very limited hours.
