Porcavacca in Catanzaro Lido is an absolute gem. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner. My husband and I started with two different bruschette, and we both agreed they were the best we’ve ever had — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We then ordered steaks, which were cooked to perfection and topped with delicious sauces that elevated every bite. An amazing dining experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be going back!

I ate here once in the summer, the food and price were ok, but the spaces were a bit small and I didn't feel comfortable, but otherwise it was ok.

Omg the food here is AMAZING. It was literally like eating my mums home cooked Calabrian meals, proper home style traditional comfort food and I am a really picky eater, plus have intolerances so that says something.
I would also like to add that, earlier in the day we had my nonna’s funeral and we were really unsure of where to go to have a meal as a family in her memory, well she would have loved Porcavacca- it was perfect.
The service was the best we have ever received coming to the lido (ever since I was born) everyone was sooo helpful and friendly and the best part is nobody hovered over us making us feel like we had to rush, or were pushy. Everyone spoke English too, really well. The whole time was a delight.
This place is a hidden jewel, we will definitely return!

I went here with my partner for my birthday and we had a really great time! The atmosphere was intimate and familiar, the food delicious, and despite the bad weather outside, the warmth of the heaters strategically placed throughout the room made it feel like home. The owners and staff were friendly, definitely recommended!

This restaurant is located in the beautiful Catanzaro Lido in an alley near the seafront. The environment is small, well-kept but very easy. I ordered excellent spaghetti al pastore, a dish similar to cacio e pepe. The Angus steak was good but it wasn't very tender. The dessert was good but it wasn't homemade. The service was fast and accurate. I recommend it!

How could I have avoided writing a positive review for this establishment? Not being from the area, but from Syracuse, and celebrating my son's graduation, I visited the website, which alerted me to the location. We made no mistake in our choice, especially and importantly, for the authentic and abundant dishes;
from the many hot and cold appetizers, to the delicious first course, the authentic second course, and the delicious tiramisu. Topping it all off was the kindness of all the staff and the owner, Pasquale, who after a few minutes of conversation seemed like an old friend. Best wishes to you all for your business, and I promise myself that if I ever find myself in the Catanzaro area, I'll know where to go for lunch. Giuseppe

We finally tried (with the excuse of a voucher) the typical trattoria Porcavacca, and it was a very pleasant surprise. From the moment you enter, you can feel a family atmosphere, thanks to the warmth, kindness, and helpfulness of the owners, always eager to make guests feel at home.
The cuisine fully reflects the authenticity of the place: genuine and carefully selected ingredients are found in every dish. We started with a truly delicious hot/cold appetizer, full of typical local products, carefully prepared and just the right amount of filling.
The first courses were the real highlight:
Tagliatelle alla parmigiana, creamy and flavorful, prepared with fresh ingredients.
Scilatelle alla silana with tomato sauce, porcini mushrooms, and sausage, a rich and fragrant dish with an intense and well-balanced flavor.
The portions are generous and the overall quality is high, especially considering the average and absolutely affordable prices, which is not a given these days.
A trattoria definitely worth a visit: excellent food, an authentic atmosphere, and wonderful people. We'll definitely be back!

The atmosphere is small but welcoming. Kudos also to the service; the guys were really kind.
The food is really good, the quality of the meat is perfect, and it's cooked perfectly! They bring standard steak knives, but just a touch of them and the meat slices itself, incredibly tender! Perfectly cooked, whether well done or medium.
I highly recommend it.
We had three slices of Cuberoll for a total of about 800 grams of meat, two bottles of water, a tomato salad, and a portion of Sila potatoes for a total of €90, but believe me, it's worth it!
