30/01/2026: Always perfect. We visit this charming place from time to time for over 10 years. And it is always perfect: the quality, the presentation, the tradition, the creativity, the atmosphere, the service, the local wine selection. Rome is not Rome for us without Apuleius.

09/01/2026: This is a special restaurant that I was so delighted to have found. It’s in a quiet part of the Aventine Hill and I was nearby to take a walk in the Giardino degli Aranci. When I arrived, towards the end of lunch service the restaurant was full, I believe with a large family gathering but the staff politely explained that I could take a seat in a slightly quieter and more private part of the dining room, which was ideal for me as a solo diner. The menu and local wine were explained to me in patient detail. The service was faultless and the food was delicious. I had the zucchini flowers, the Gnocchi alla Romana, and the ‘almost’ tiramisu. Every bite was unique and memorable and this was one of my favourite meals, ever. I chose a local sparkling, red and then dessert wine to have with each course and these were also incredibly good. Grazie team for such a fond memory. I will be back!
