Excellent cuisine and wine selection! Relaxing and pleasant environment.

Our best restaurant we had in Rome out of around 8 restaurants all very well rated :) The place is super beautiful, the food was delicious, very generous and really very fresh compared to other restaurants :) The fact that the kitchen is open and the origin of the products is very clear is really also a plus, this was not the case in the other restaurants we have visited. We also drank the best wine of our trip there :) The gentleman offers very good service, advises and deducted 5 euros from my pasta dish without specifying it because I took the vegetarian option ;) There is a bit of a lack of vegetarian options if ever so expect to have to ask to remove the meat from the dishes if that is your case but that is not really a problem This is really an address to book, if I return to Rome I will return there as a priority Consider booking

Di ristoranti a Roma ne ho provati davvero tanti, ma Ponziani ti lascia senza parole. Il servizio e' eccellente: simpatico, veloce, consigliano in base ai gusti. L' atsmosfera e' molto intima e familiare, sorridono tutti: clienti, cuochi e servizio in sala. La selezione di vini e' ottima (fatevi sempre consigliare) e la cucina tradizionale romana ti fa vedere le stelle. Ci torneró ogni volta che rimetteró piede nella capitale.

Very nice atmosphere and quality food. Wide choice of wines, including special ones, generous portions and truly friendly staff The supplì are excellent with a very light and crunchy breading that is not at all greasy, as are the artichokes fried to perfection First courses different from usual. I tried the orecchiette with pumpkin speck and pecorino and the pappardelle with white duck ragù, both really good and I'll give you a wide range because they are nice portions Based on the food ordered they also recommended a suitable wine The room is not very large but tastefully furnished with wooden tables and you can talk well For the appetizers they have both pickles that they buy already made and platters of cured meats and very good bread even if not made by them Second courses with meat options and a couple of fish options Well seasoned but not heavy dishes At the end they offered us an excellent Perbellini pandoro which they also sold Definitely coming back to try more

If you want to have a great dinner, this is the place to go. Excellent dishes, coupled with very good wine choices. Pricing is in the range 30-40€ per person. Remember to make a reservation, or you may not be able to find a table.

This is what a good food experience in Rome should be. Great friendly staff who recommends what to order based on a brief conversation, homemade food (you can see the kitchen and the chefs working), GREAT quality food and wine. Ordered a pasta dish, an entree and a glass of wine. 10/10, this was a perfect experience for me.

Nice little restaurant, in a quiet part of Rome, far away from the madness of tourism. The kitchen is clearly visible and looks very inviting. We happened to walk past the restaurant at lunchtime and decided on spagetti funghi and carbonara. The food was super tasty. The staff very friendly.

I can say that maybe it was a little cold for the atmosphere, but the service, food and the red wine they recommended were wonderful..
