Roman trattoria in Milan's Porta Venezia neighborhood. We met here for a business meeting. The location is small, but boasts an outdoor seating area on the pedestrian street. Service is fairly quick; the table setting is simple, with paper placemats and cloth napkins. The food is average for a trattoria. We opted for two first courses: "Matriciana" and "Cacio e Pepe," washed down with a good white wine (Chardonnay Tellus - a 37.5cl bottle so we could drive). The bill, however, was a restaurant fare. For a Roman experience in Milan, it's achievable.

Dinner with friends, simple but welcoming outdoor seating, slightly sweetened Roman cuisine, excellent first courses and fried appetizers. A bit pricey...but Milan has taken flight!

Would have loved to give this place 5 stars. Food was delicious, cooked expertly. The bread was stale, which I cheerfully could forgive, however I asked the staff for either some butter or olive oil to make it palatable and they smiled, said they would check and then ignored my request. When I asked the owner about it again later I was told that they didn't have any for my use. I told him that was fine, but that someone should have informed me, rather than ignoring my request. It became combative. My overall impression was that because I was American, my request was ignored. Had someone simply come to the table and let me know they had chosen not to serve butter or olive oil with their stale bread, I would have been happy with the restaurant experience overall.

Food and atmosphere was nice but I asked for something that I didnt know wasnt traditional and was shamed in front of the whole restaurant for asking by the waiter shouting at me.

A small family restaurant, amazing food, amazing people. If your looking for a real Italian experience, this is the place. Couldn't recommend more, 10/10
