In the center of Milan we discovered this place during a lunch break. Wide choice of excellent quality dishes, very large space. The staff is very kind, even the owner of the bar is very nice.

Discovered years ago as a point of reference for tram drivers, it has become our fixed place for lunch when we are in the center for visits to exhibitions or medical visits to the polyclinic. Why look for anything else when the food here is well prepared, the ingredients are good, the portions excellent, the quality/price ratio is right, all the staff are friendly and helpful, even accepting criticism and ready to improve and change, even just for a simple puree! There is always room and the rooms are clean. We recommend it to all those who wish to eat with dignity, but not necessarily in a luxury location in the shadow of the Madonna. Silvano and Cristina

12/06/2025: I went to California Bakery with a friend of mine for a sweet break, and the experience was really pleasant! We had two slices of cake and two cappuccinos: the cakes were delicious, not dry or heavy at all, really well made and balanced in taste. The place was clean and tidy, and we didn't have to wait even a minute, the service was very fast. A special thanks to the Filipino waitress, very kind and smiling, who made everything even more pleasant. I will definitely be back!

Tannico wine bar

08/05/2025: Second experience at Tannico a little less positive than the first. The restaurant is still pretty even if it definitely never seems really full. Very nice, diverse wine list and very reasonably priced. Friendly cuisine with a menu that can be a little short. Efficient service but just average for Milan (the service is generally very excellent in Milan). The negative points: on my first visit, the wine I had chosen was restricted to one bottle in stock. Damage. On my second visit neither of the two wines chosen were in stock after a somewhat lengthy search. And the wine offered instead only had one bottle in stock. In short, it’s time to better manage your stock for a well-known wine bar! Another major fault: the red wine is stored on the shelf and is therefore served too hot….Result: nice place but could do better!
