Invitati da amici siamo arrivati nel bosco e subito ci siamo ambientati: ospitalità, professionalità ma soprattutto grande e digeribilissima pizza del pizzaiolo Giuseppe a cui vanno i nostri sinceri complimenti. Aggiungo le foto per farvi capire cosa abbiamo mangiato: pizza con peperoni cruschi, salsiccia e funghi cardoncelli e pizza con patate al forno, pancetta, salsiccia, grana e burratina in uscita. The location of this restaurant is beautiful with a beautiful view of Lake San Giuliano. The delicious dishes represent the tradition of local cuisine and are executed with skill and great quality. The service is courteous and quick. Absolutely worth visiting

Today I was a guest of the Podus farmhouse in the town of Grottole. I wanted to escape from the confusion of the patronal festival of Matera and I found myself immersed in an enchanting, well-kept place in the Coste woods, where you can see that everything is done and treated with love. Beyond the delicacy of the place and the location, what can we say about the "superlative" cuisine of chef Clemente and the kindness of all the collaborators; impeccable quality and service. I spent a wonderful time in this part of our Lucanian territory, which I like very much and deserves to be considered and visited more and more. Starting from the place, on top of a hill, surrounded by greenery, with a grove where you can have a picnic and a breathtaking view of the valley below and Lake San Giuliano. The place is simple and welcoming. Regarding food, we start from the assumption that 80/90% of what you eat is produced by them. Having said that, the quality of the raw materials, the preparation and the genius of the combinations is nothing short of surprising. You won't taste the usual hackneyed dishes, but incredible reinterpretations of tradition. Not an excessive reinterpretation, but enough to make us reappreciate the flavors of tradition. It is not possible for me to mention any dishes in particular, because none stand out above the others. They are all spectacular! In short, you eat very well! The restaurant also has a good wine list and, if desired, you can ask for beer. Paolo, the owner, is a very nice person, always available for all your needs and always happy to tell you that what you are tasting is the result of his work. Its staff is worthy of such an owner: courteous and attentive. Excellent value for money. I have been to many places in Italy and I must say that this is one of the best I have been to. I will definitely be back and I recommend everyone to go! The final verdict is EXCELLENT!

Posto bello, qualità dei cibi molto buona, servizio efficiente quando la sala è gremita. Per contenere i prezzi, menù a 35 euro, i gestori hanno pensato bene di ridurre le porzioni. E di molto, considerato che i primi, serviti in grandi piatti con l'incavo, a noi sfortunati miopi creava difficoltà visive, tanto erano scarse le porzioni, per cui la forchetta andava spesso a vuoto nel cercare di afferrare i cavatelli che saranno stati 20 grammi in tutto e ancor peggio i tortelli di ricotta che a vederne in numero di tre in un grande piatto facevano un po' pena, tanto che mi sono commosso e ho pianto. La tagliata di vitello si riduceva a tre striscioline sottilissime, contornate da cinque patatine al forno. Insomma, che dire? Se si segue una dieta particolare il posto è molto consigliato, se vuoi farti una bella mangiata indimenticabile suppongo che devi sganciare una cospicua mancia ai camerieri e chiedere di riservarti un bis e un tris della quantità delle portate. La qualità della materia prima nulla da ridire, ma alla fine del pranzo, dalle 13,30 alle 17,30 circa, ti vedi costretto a programmarti anche la cena.
