PODUS - Mangio dunque sono In Grottole

Very informal, single menu, but everything is truly tasty and very homemade. Three words: you eat well.

After a walk in the nearby woods, we stopped for lunch at PODUS, and we couldn't have made a better choice! We opted for a selection of appetizers, all delicious, from the homemade cured meats and cheeses to the hot dishes. We could have finished lunch with appetizers, but we wanted to try at least one of the daily specials, so we chose cavatelli with crusco peppers, sausage, and caciocavallo cheese. This, too, was a very good dish, well-balanced and flavorful. Our lunch concluded with two desserts: ricotta cake with almonds and rum-infused raisins, and cream puffs filled with custard. Both were worthy, but I've rarely found a ricotta cake this fragrant and delicate! Superb service, with friendly and helpful staff, who, above all, were attentive to every need. Plus, the menu changes daily...one more reason for us to return soon. It was truly a wonderful discovery :)

We celebrated my dad's birthday this Sunday at Podus. What can I say...a truly fantastic experience! Excellent food, truly excellent quality, with traditional dishes presented with care and a touch of elegance...exceptional flavor. Impeccable staff, everyone very kind, pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, beautiful location. Really satisfied! We will definitely be back!!!

A family-friendly venue with a beautiful view of Lake San Giuliano, the opportunity for nature walks, and, last but not least, excellent local cuisine.

Panoramic location; simple and authentic restaurant, like their cuisine; fair prices; impeccable service from smiling young people; we had a perfectly cooked rib-eye steak, fragrant and absolutely delicious.
