Pizzeria Vecchia Taormina In Taormina

The pizza is good, but the outdated menu spoils the impression. I don't have much to say about the pizza itself, it wasn't bad. But I have to recommend the owners to check the menu they have on site - it doesn't match what they have on Google Maps at all. In such a tourist area as Taormina, it should be correct, because I chose my food in advance based on the internet and everything was different on site. I was also a little annoyed that the pizza came already sliced. I understand that it's a modern concession to tourists, but in Italy you still expect the classic tradition in its entirety. Overall, pretty average, but with better service and up-to-date information it would be much better. Good pizzas, but menu needs to be updated. The pizza in itself wasn't bad, but there are some aspects that need to be improved, especially in a touristic location like Taormina. The physical menu on site doesn't correspond at all to what was on Google Maps; it's a shame, because I chose what to order based on the online photos and then I had to change my mind. In addition, the pizza is already delivered: I understand that it is a comfort for tourists, I prefer the Italian tradition of the entire pizza. Nel complesso un'esperienza discreta, ma con più attenzione ai dettagli sarebbe molto meglio.

The pizzeria is in a stunning location in Taormina, with a view of Mount Etna. There's plenty of seating both inside and out. The menu leaves nothing to be desired. I ate the best pizza of my life here (tuna and onion). If you know this place, you won't need to look anywhere else.

I ordered an Aperol and they charged me €12!!!! This place shouldn't charge that much, considering the quality and location. I was very disappointed and felt it was outrageous. Everything else was fine.

Very good pizza, generous portions. Friendly service, and a beautiful sea view. Prices are, of course, higher than in a big city, but the location also makes up for it.

My wife and I went out for a meal in the evening. The pizza was okay, not great, and not bad. As for drinks, we ordered an Aperol Spirit (€12!!! for one). It was very watered down, consisting of 75% ice, a little Aperol, and the rest soda. Finally, we had coffee—which was very good. So, overall, it's okay, but only for one visit.
