I was finally able to return to Florence. I returned to Trattoria la Dolce Vita and I can confirm my first impression: "There are no words to describe the excellent cuisine." In other words, "you eat well."

Worth taking your time, a true hidden gem. It’s not centric, and it’s not going to be quick. But it will be one of the most beautiful Italian meals you will ever taste. Attended by the owner, a very lovely lady. Try everything you can. I did not even take many pictures, that’s how good the food was.

It's the most delicious place I've eaten in Florence, except for my aunt's house. If you're in a hurry, don't come. If you want to feel royal, don't come. It's a homey place, run by a lady whose cooking is spectacular, a very sweet lady. The food is incredible; I couldn't say which was the best: the tortelloni, the pasta carbonara, the meatballs, the mushroom bruschetta, or the pasta with ragù. It's a hidden gem in the city; it's not centrally located, but it's definitely worth a visit. Just one recommendation: fix the heating.

It's one of the few restaurants for which both a positive (even enthusiastic) and a negative review are plausible. Because it's true that the place is stuck in 50 years of history, but that's also its beauty. It's true that it takes half an hour to eat a plate of pasta, but that's also its beauty. It's true that the sauces and preparation are from the '80s, but that's also its beauty. In short, it depends on the reviewer. Those who love efficiency, modernity, and attention to detail are bound to be disappointed. It's hard to find a traditional trattoria in Florence. Here, they cook like they used to, simple but authentic food, cooked to perfection! We stopped for a quick lunch: appetizer and side dish while waiting for the first course. The spaghetti was freshly prepared, perfectly cooked. The owner is also a very friendly cook. I will definitely be back. Recommended.
