Pizzeria Trattoria La Dolce Vita In Firenze

It's hard to find a traditional trattoria in Florence. Here, they cook like they used to, simple but authentic food, cooked to perfection! We stopped for a quick lunch: appetizer and side dish while waiting for the first course. The spaghetti was freshly prepared, perfectly cooked. The owner is also a very friendly cook. I will definitely be back. Recommended.

We had an absolutely incredible dining experience here! Every single dish was bursting with freshness and you could truly taste the love and care that went into preparing it. We enjoyed every single plate we ordered and each one felt like a little work of art. The owner is such a warm and kind-hearted woman, and it was inspiring to see her running the entire restaurant all by herself while still serving the most delicious food. Her passion and dedication shine through in every bite. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we only managed to take one single photo before diving into the rest, that’s how good it was! An absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back! Grazie mille for the wonderful evening.

The Trattoria La Dolce Vita is run solely by the incredibly warm and friendly chef and server, Nonna Anna. We were absolutely thrilled! The salads, pasta, secondi piatti, and dolco were delicious, and we would love to come back. Anna is incredibly dedicated and spoiled us with authentic, delicious Italian cuisine! Our first impression was more like, "Do we really want to go in there?" But it was so worth it! This tiny, perhaps even old-fashioned restaurant exceeded our expectations. The insider tip from the Google reviews proved to be right! The charming owner has a huge heart, cooks with love, prepares her dishes, and bakes the pizza herself. Value for money: Wow! I think every one of these dishes is highly recommended! I've never had such an outstanding and absolutely delicious Cabonara - molto bene! The pizza was the best and most Italian pizza we've ever had - it was like coming home to your Italian "nonna." We are absolutely thrilled.

Food was lovely. Authentic and delicious Italian food. Our only complaint on the food was our steak not cooked quite right but the rest was lovely. Our main issue was the service . This restaurant has one person doing everything, waiting tables, cooking....literally everything and the service was painfully slow. We were the first people in there for evening service, and had only started and main course and it took 3 hours! By the time we left there were a total of 10 covers in the restaurant, including us 5.... it could be a great little place if they just employed a waiter/waitress. A real shame

We ate at this restaurant on our Italy tour and were very impressed. You just can't be too tied down to the opening hours, because the restaurant opens whenever it suits you ☺️ Perhaps that's because the restaurant, or at least that's how it seemed to us, was run solely by a truly magical "nonna." We were the only guests in the restaurant at first and received a very warm welcome. Although we don't speak Italian and dear Anna doesn't speak English, communication worked out well. The menu wasn't extensive, but for us, it included exactly what we would want to eat in Italy: pizza and pasta. We opted for spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce, accompanied by mineral water and a carafe of house wine. The wine was delicious, and oh my goodness, we ate the best spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce we've ever had. We found this restaurant on Google Maps and went there because the reviews for the food were very good. I can say that our expectations were very high, and yet they were exceeded. Not only because of the food and wine, but also because of Anna's absolutely charming personality. Furthermore, the food here is not only very good, but also extremely affordable, which is quite rare in Italy. The restaurant may not be the most stylish or chic, but the food is definitely worth a visit, and we can only recommend it to anyone visiting Florence to eat here if you enjoy real, authentic Italian cuisine.
