We came on Monday night and it was packed to the rafters - highly recommend making reservations. We're big fan of thin crust pizza, we got the Trevizola and it was simply delicious. And the Tagliatelle al ragu di Cervo pasta was al dente. On top of this, we ordered the créme caramel that was light and tasty. The portions are generous and easily shareable.

I've been to Du Tunnel in Courmayeur, and the food experience was positive. The menu is well-focused on the local area, with a focus on local cuisine, but without being "closed": the menu also features Italian dishes, clearly designed for an international clientele (and indeed, you often see them ordered by foreigners). The food is good, no complaints there: simple dishes and clean flavors. Prices are in line with the Courmayeur average, therefore fitting the setting; portions are average, sized for a full dinner. The service was simple, unpretentious, with fairly regular timing and an overall friendly approach. The only real downside, and unfortunately impactful, was the constant breaking of plates and glasses by the staff. Accidents can happen anywhere, but here they were so frequent that they became annoying for us. We were sitting practically next to the pass, and between the loud noises, the picking up of broken pieces, and the constant commotion, the atmosphere suffered considerably. At a certain point, you even wonder what their budget is for all this hassle, because besides the noise, it's an avoidable expense. In short: the food is excellent, the bill is reasonable, the service is okay; it's a shame about this truly disruptive operational aspect. Reservations are recommended.

30/12/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance and, miraculously, managed to eat without a reservation. Tasty food, quick service, despite there being only one person taking care of everything! Fair prices, generous portions. Recommended.

Trattoria Il Boccio

13/03/2026: I visited Boccio in Aosta, a place with an interesting history. The Sant'Orso bowling club used to be located here, and this space was the adjacent restaurant. Over time, it became first a bar and then a restaurant. Today, it's run by the same owners as the inn and offers highly acclaimed traditional Aosta Valley cuisine. The interiors are beautiful and beautifully renovated: pure Aosta Valley style, with lots of exposed wood that makes you feel like you're in a mountain chalet, but enriched with modern architectural elements in glass and steel that lend an elegant, contemporary touch. The effect is truly successful. One thing I was very pleased to see is the young management, made up of young people eager to get things done and bring new ideas. They're also organizing events, music, and cocktails, which bring the place to life and make it even more interesting. I also really appreciated the music during lunch: subtle yet discreet, creating a sense of atmosphere without disrupting the conversation. One feature I really liked is that the bowling alley is still accessible outside, and the restaurant also has an area with tables outside, bathed in sunshine at lunchtime. This isn't a given in Aosta, with its mountains and shadows... in fact, it's one of the few places where you can enjoy lunch in the full sun. In summer, there are even umbrellas to protect you from the heat! In short: typical Aosta Valley cuisine, a very refined atmosphere, and a vibrant, youthful vibe. The restaurant was renovated following a fire in 2018. A place definitely worth a visit. Best regards and kisses! 👋✨
