Pizzeria Snack Bar Du Tunnel In Courmayeur

The restaurant is busy, as there are many tourists in town, so the prices are a bit more expensive than in other towns in Aosta. The pizzas taste good and are really large. Unfortunately, one of our dishes was forgotten and arrived 10 minutes later than everyone else was almost finished.

Regular tourists, every time we visit Courmayeur, we stop at the tunnel pizzeria, and have done so for several years. This year, our first visit, we didn't see the fresh vines, but the server brought one to an Italian customer: magnificent and what a fragrance! On September 26th, back at the pizzeria, we ordered two pizzas with fresh vines: 10 measly little strips of vines (we counted them because there were so few) for €21 per person! It's a steal! So when you go to the tunnel pizzeria, stick to the classic menu: the pizzas are good and inexpensive, and forget the tourist trap of the fresh vines, which are clearly reserved for local customers. As for the room service: the server is borderline unpleasant: no hello, no smile, no goodbye, and certainly no thank you.

Incredibly good pizzas. Very friendly, smiling, and welcoming staff who went out of their way to find us a seat even though we hadn't booked.

Recommended restaurant. Truly excellent. The pizzas are large, tasty, and thin, with a highly digestible dough. Valdostan polenta with plenty of fontina cheese, a delicious platter of mocetta, lard, and chestnuts with honey. Friendly, fast service, and most importantly, they welcome dogs without any problem, and ours is a 25-kg pup. Fair price for the ingredients and the location.

The pizzas are very good and huge (one for 2 would have almost been enough😁). The service is very pleasant. I recommend it.
