Doesn't look like much but excellent pizzas! The dough is crispy, it was a treat!

Good quality pizza, some pizzas were not available (low season). The pizza chef takes the money with his hands before making the pizzas, without washing them as required by law.

Good pizzas, we arrived from the airport to Venice at 9pm and we couldn't find anywhere to eat something cheap and good, we found this pizzeria and we loved it, freshly baked and fresh dough 🫶

I visited a couple of nights ago. This is a take out place. It had been a lifelong dream of mine to get to Italy and have pizza. As you get older. You see your friends and colleagues going and it's always 50/50 reviews on how the food is. The one thing that is in common though with my colleagues that live there is that, you don't want to go to a place that looks empty because the food probably isn't good. I needed something that was close to my place. And this had the highest rating within a 25-minute walk. So I took a trip down. As I went down the narrow alley with tourist shops of trinkets and gelato surrounding the area, I had come up to this place. Unfortunately they only had four slices of pizza ready to go. Two vegan slices. And two pepperoni. I had one slice of pepperoni... And I've been into a slice of Venice. I was born of pizza. Born in Chicago. Raised on all types of pizza. Especially deep dish. Which is blasphemous to New Yorkers lol. My favorite slices are pan pizzas, Sicilian style and deep dish I have taken over 40 work trips to NY. Over the last 20 years. My goal is to eat at a new pizza joint every time I visit. Sometimes I'll try one of the newest hot pizza spots in town. . Or I visit one of my favorites that have been there for awhile. Then comes this little hole in the wall in Venice Italy. The cheese on this pizza was just a treat to the taste buds. It's like I could taste the farm from where the cheese was cultivated lol. I have had so many different cheeses in my life. I can't quite remember what was on this pie... But this is a taste I will never forget. I asked the lady which pizza I should get. And she recommended the one in my pic. I forgot which one this was. So after I destroyed the slice next to many of the other people waiting anxiously for their pizzas(takes about 15 min) I decided to get an entire pizza... Plus a calzone. To bring back to my friends... By morning. The calzone was demolished. It was the size of an american football 🏈. See the pic size for reference. Seriously. The box could fit a 10-12 piece meal of fried Chicken. I had the calzone cut I. Half. And then I cut that in 1/2 again and you can see the piece is as big as my hand. I'm not really a calzone guy. But wow the crispness of the dough with such fluffy enrichment of heavenly carbs with a perfectly soft inside... And who would have thought having arugula on pizza would be exquisite. They made it happen here. I will miss this place. Glad my first 🍕 pizza experience in Venice was a home run!

The pizza is not horrible, but let’s be real, it’s not great either.
