Pizzeria San Marco In Roma

My wife, son, and I spent a couple of days in Rome and checked off everything on our bucket list. The last thing we wanted to do before catching our train to the next destination was enjoy an authentic Roman-style pizza. Our hotel recommended San Marco, a local favorite. We knew most restaurants close between lunch and dinner, so we were happy to find a place that came highly recommended and was open. When we arrived, there was only one other table occupied, and we chose to sit on the patio. The menu offered plenty of options, but we were there solely for the pizza. We ordered two different pizzas, and unfortunately, both were a bit of a letdown. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with them—perhaps they just weren’t our style. We had high expectations since everything else we’d eaten in Rome up until that point had been exceptional. All in all, if you’re looking for a quick, convenient place to eat, San Marco fits the bill. But if you’re after an authentic experience and some of the best pizza in Rome, this probably isn’t the spot.

We loved this restaurant! Casual. Affordable and delicious! Our waiter was Antonio and he was great! I highly recommend the limoncello spritz which is better than any I’ve had! Also enjoyed pasta, eggplant parm and calzones. Was always too full to try dessert. Highly recommend!

We came here for dinner. The food was OK , not more. They didn’t serve all the entrees at the same time , the pizza arrived a little cold. And after paying the bill the waiter was a bit aggressive over the fact that we didn’t add service to the bill ( we thought it was automatically added) .

Love this place, great food and staff and so family friendly!

Just down the street from our hotel and stopped for a quick dinner. Pizza and wine was great as was the tiramisu.

We ate delicious pizza and drank wonderful wine. All in a relaxed atmosphere and with friendly service. Fair prices.

The food is incredible and the atmosphere is ideal, calm.

Pizza is fantastic.. service great. Nice wine list from all regions of Italy. Pizza is well done and crispy thin crust. Restaurant diners are locals and not tourists.

Locale noto ai Romani e non centralissimo. Ampio e pulito ma molto rumoroso. I tavoli interni sono sovrapposti quindi risulta molto complicato pensarci per serate romantiche o cene d'affari. Personale molto gentile ma abbiamo chiesto più volte sia l'acqua che il bis di birre, sia le pizze che una posata mancante. Molto lunghi i tempi di attesa. Molto buono il cibo: antipasti di ristorante ottimi, caldi ed abbondanti. Pizze eccellenti. Abbiamo fatto il bis. Caro il giusto. Consiglio e ci tornerò per il cibo.

Comimos en el restaurante dos veces. Ojalá pudiera decir que la experiencia fue la misma en ambas ocasiones, pero desafortunadamente, ese fue el problema al final y la calificación. Consistencia. El restaurante tiene esa sensación sofisticada, asientos agradables, por dentro y por fuera. El fútbol estaba encendido, así que una ligera distracción, en la pantalla, pero no grande. El problema es la comida: Día 1 , la espagueti boloñesa estaba genial, la lasaña estaba salada y buena, la pizza bien. Día 2: La lasaña estaba dominada por el queso parmasano , parecía que todo el recipiente estaba tirado sobre ella. La pizza no era genial, el prosciutto no era el mejor, y toda la pizza carecía de sustancia. El tercer plato fue el pollo en rodajas, no se lo recomendaría a nadie, el peor plato de pollo que he probado, sabía a quemado, un lado de ensalada que parecía un pensamiento posterior. Era un lugar agradable, pero no impresionado con la calidad de la comida.
