In the center of Viareggio, a pizzeria/rotisserie offering a variety of foods and catering. The pizza slices are excellent; perhaps a little less oil would be helpful, but it's delicious, even if a little greasy. The food is well-cooked, and the prices are in line, if not better.

Rizieri, formerly Dino, is a cornerstone of Viareggio's gastronomy. I've been going there all my life and have never been disappointed. Since the products are freshly baked, there's a wait, but it's worth it if you want to eat a fantastic cecina, an equally delicious pizza, or freshly baked focaccia. There are tables outside where you can stop for a quick treat or a great meal. You can also sit inside for an exceptional lunch, with a nice menu and excellent cuisine.

The cecina is good, but the pizza is too heavy for me: it's full of oil on the bottom and makes me sick after a while. I'm not crazy about it; there's definitely better in the area. The service is so-so, and if you find a line, it's a disaster.

Le Bontà Del Passo

03/12/2025: A small restaurant at the Carpinelli Pass (Lucca) where you can enjoy excellent traditional Garfagnana dishes. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are reasonable. More views of the beautiful Apuan Alps from the tables would further enhance the simple yet pleasant atmosphere. Recommended!
23/10/2025: Beautiful place where you can eat very good local food and drink a bit of everything with panoramic outdoor and indoor seating.

26/11/2025: I stopped for lunch and it was a pleasant stop. The staff was very friendly, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable.
14/10/2025: Good for a business lunch, however I have been there more than once for Sunday lunch, excellent fish menu
