We went to Al Rio for dinner, we were lucky to find a parking slot right in front of the pizzeria, we were seated within 5 minutes (4 adults and 2 kids). Ordering and getting drinks was quite smooth... getting the 4 pizzas, however, took ~1 hour (I suspect they have completely forgotten about our order as once we asked about it, about 45-ish minutes into the wait time, it took 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive). People seated after us, got their food and finished dining before we even got our pizzas. The pizzas were quite good, the tiramisu as well and decently priced. Hoping that what happened was an accident.

Excellent pizzas, good pasta. We got our food around 1pm, which is not the norm in Italy. The service was fast, the staff was friendly. We sat outside, but they have a nice interior as well.

Great food and service. Value for the money. It’s very Italian. They speak English, but the menu is only in Italian. It’s a very popular place, so if you don’t want to stay 5-25 min in que, then arrive at 1730 when the kitchen opens. Worth the wait if you get into Que!

We went to Pizzeria al Rio in Auronzo di Cadore and had a wonderful time.
The charcoal dough I ordered was black, light, and crispy just right, with a delicate flavor that didn't overpower the toppings. The pizza came out hot, well-cooked, with fresh, generous ingredients. The portion was generous, just what it should be after a day exploring the Dolomites.
The place is simple and familiar, with quick and friendly service. The atmosphere is relaxed, typical of a mountain pizzeria, with fair prices and portions that truly fill you up.
In just one evening, we were pleasantly surprised: quality pizza, a special, well-made dough, and a genuine welcome. Perfect for a casual, tasty dinner.

We dined at this restaurant on June 18th, and the interior was a veritable sauna: stifling heat made the experience very unpleasant, especially considering summer hadn't even begun yet. Eating in these conditions inevitably ruined the evening.
We reported the problem when paying, but the responses we received were quite surprising. One staff member explained that they don't open the windows because "it would ruin the chandelier"; another employee downplayed the issue, claiming that the heat in the city would only last a few days and that elsewhere it would be worse. In the meantime, however, many establishments are at least installing fans or other systems to make the environment more comfortable.
Looking at online reviews, we also noticed that several customers had reported the same problem in the past. This suggests that the situation is well-known, but no concrete measures have been taken to resolve it.
It's a shame, because the inconvenience was so great that it made us reluctant to return.

Great pizza at very fair prices. Not a fancy, but a very good place to have some local cuisine. I still got pizza at 10 PM!
