Pizzeria Poppi In Siena

If you want to try a real, authentic ciaccini, you have to come to Poppi! Just 10 steps from Piazza del Campo, this little shop offers exceptional ciaccini, from the classic "plain" to the prosciutto (which I find exorbitant), to the wonderful one with zucchini, and even with eggplant, Margherita pizza, and more! The prices are more than reasonable, and if the weather permits, you can eat while sitting in the shade of the Torre del Mangia. The girls at the counter are very kind!

There's only one ciaccino in Siena, and it's from Poppi. There's nothing else to say.

Small takeout pizzeria with two shelves inside where you can lean and eat inside. Right behind Piazza Campo. We had the classic ciaccino, the one with soppressa and vegetables. It's basically a very thin focaccia with a filling, very tasty and crispy, and very fair prices. We preferred the classic ciaccino with ham and cheese! We came by on January 3rd and the promotion had just started: all ciaccinos were €2.10 instead of €3 each! Needless to say, we stocked up for home! ☺️

The pizza is good, but the staff is rude. The place is small, so there's not enough room for a large group to eat inside.

I returned to Siena after a while and was eager to enjoy a good ciaccino. I brought it home with great enthusiasm, but unfortunately what I was served was truly disappointing: neither the dough nor the fillings were up to par. I was so disappointed that I looked up the pizzeria online, intending to give it a one-star rating. However, reading the other reviews, I realize it may have been an isolated incident, and I'm sorry to downgrade it. However, after this experience, I'm unlikely to eat here again.

I ordered a delicious portion of margarita to go, right behind Piazza del Campo.

The girls at the counter are really nice. We had a chat. We ordered two Margherita pizzas, and they were very tasty. Top!

Delicious pan pizza, crispy and with a good topping. It makes you want to learn how to make pizza.

Pizzeria Pioppi was a wonderful discovery! Excellent pizzas—especially the sausage and mozzarella filled pizza and the one with ham—light dough and quality ingredients. Fast service and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
