Pizzeria Poppi In Siena

Delicious, fast, and easy! I got pizza here four times in the two days I was there.

Personally, since I'm not a food critic, if I like a dish, I write about it. Obviously, if that were to happen, I wouldn't like it, and on this occasion, I'd do the same. I like their pizza, as well as what they call ciaccino, and the prices are super fair. Yes, the place isn't clean; more attention would be needed.

Come on, when you want a quick bite, without all the frills, look for a place like this, behind Piazza del Campo. And let's face it, the stuffed ciaccino they make here is top-notch, the kind that will make you feel like you're back on track: crispy, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The pizza by the slice is often good, too, although sometimes they slip up with the oil and it feels like you're eating a pancake. The problem, though, is the person behind the counter. Sometimes you get a smile, other times I've seen it seem like you're trying to spite them by giving them the money. In short, this and more is what they do for the ciaccino, for goodness sake. But a little more courtesy would be perfect...

Ciaccino stuffed with fantastic ham. The pizza with artichokes and cooked ham is also very tasty. I recommend it for a quick meal in the center of Siena.

The place is located right behind the famous Piazza del Campo. Very fair prices. The legendary stuffed ciaccino is only 3 euros. Crispy, just the right amount of salty, truly the best. The girls at the counter are very friendly, and even though it was August and Siena was very crowded with tourists, we didn't find any lines. The pizza slices are definitely worth trying, too.

Very good takeaway pizzeria. All delicious and at a good price for being in the heart of Siena. I fell deeply in love with Ciaccino Ripieno, a pleasure! Super recommended.
