Very good, all the food was exceptional. We waited 2 minutes and the food was fabulous, well cooked and very tasty. A great place for a quick lunch. I absolutely recommend it.

Pizzeria Pellegrini is an excellent option located right in the heart of Lucca, just steps from Piazza San Michele. The restaurant has a minimalist and essential style: there aren't a lot of seats, but you can sit both outside and inside (where you'll find the classic high tables with stools facing the wall). You can choose between pizza by the slice or a whole pizza, with absolutely fair prices and in line with the area. The quality of the ingredients is good; while not reaching gourmet heights, it's the ideal choice for a quick and tasty lunch before continuing your tour of the city. A big plus? There's usually a much shorter line than at historic places like Da Felice, making it the perfect option if you want a good meal without wasting too much time waiting. Overall, a pizzeria definitely recommended for a convenient stop in the city center.

Lucca's historic pizzeria, always a pleasure to return to, even though the city has radically changed and isn't what it once was. It's wonderful that these places continue to exist. Excellent pizza and focaccia, available for takeout or to eat in at the stools inside or tables outside.

Correct as of April '25 Friday evening, Very busy. Cooked in a nice traditional wood fire oven. You'd better know Italian, or at least have a translator available, for communication. Take some time to go over the menu, which is in both English and Italian. Prices are pretty good, very fair. Better than most UK fast food and pizza restaurants. Sitting inside, or takeaway, are both available. However, no sitting outside if you're not a customer. No Deep Pan only thin pizzas. Beware, price is per pizza, not per slice... As I learnt the hard way.
