Pizzeria O'Scugnizzo In Gallarate

Best pizza on vacation so far Great value for money, a cute little pizzeria I highly recommend.

The place is informal, its name now is "Lu purparu " located under the porticoes and pergolas, the dishes are plentiful and the prices are normal, the linguine with sea urchins are special, I will definitely return, what can I say... I recommend it to everyone, try it and believe it. 👍🏼

We're COMPLETELY going against the grain of other reviews. We never waited for a seat, much less for service. The staff was attentive, kind, and professional. During our stay in San Cataldo, we returned three times, trying various dishes, including octopus, spaghetti with clams and mussels, linguine with sea urchins, calamarata, orecchiette with sauce, pizza, and fried fish... The chef never disappointed us; everything was always delicious. Highly recommended!!! If we ever return to the area, they'll definitely see us again!!!!!

A half-hour wait might have been acceptable, but an hour wasn't, considering we were seated late at night and there were only a few tables occupied. In any case, the pizzas were delicious. I enjoyed the gnocchi with clams. The fried fish was a no-no, and the fried fish was too greasy.

Excellent food, service too, we had a great time

First course: spaghetti with mussels and clams, very salty and a small portion. Second course: excellent grilled octopus. Very tender and perfectly cooked. Dry fried fish with very tender calamari. The pizzas were also good. The atmosphere was a bit sparse, but the service was quick.

You eat very well and the price is right...even if now it's called IL PURPARO.

A good seafood restaurant, the food is good, with fresh ingredients and excellent cooking. The octopus alla pignata is very good, and I highly recommend it. The staff are very kind and friendly, especially the owners, who are wonderful people.

Excellent pizza! I recommend the O'scugnizz di mare pizza and the perfetta pizza, both delicious! I also recommend the tuna tartar and the imperial squid! Very friendly and helpful staff!

We went to eat a few nights ago... the pizza was excellent, the octopus 🐙 fabulous.. shame about the service looking at the clock in 40 real minutes... no one else came and honestly I didn't want to start screaming to attract attention... so I would say no service because then we left saving desserts and figure..
