Historic pizzeria in San Lorenzo, where the fried foods stand out, but the pizza does not live up to expectations. The supplì, served lukewarm, lost their crunchiness probably due to the wait in the kitchen, resulting in a soft breading and non-stringy mozzarella. Despite this, the flavor remains that of a good supplì and the courgette flowers were crunchy and delicious.
The pizza is shallow and smaller than average, with adequate but not memorable toppings.
Dining room staff is extremely courteous.
When we arrived at the pizzeria (we had booked for 3), they asked us "who took the reservation for 3?", as if it were a sacrilege for them. Obviously they didn't have a table ready and made us wait. They leave us tablecloths and cutlery on the table, which we had to arrange ourselves.
As for the food, fried foods are to be absolutely avoided, they seem to have been taken frozen from the supermarket. The pizza, on the other hand, is excellent, very light, a real highlight. Too bad for the waiters, who bring all the pizzas almost stacked, one on top of the other, so it happens that a good part of the pizza plate stacked on top ends up in your pizza. Is this perhaps the secret of such good pizza?!
Tables placed too close together, it is also difficult to reach the bathroom.
Very affordable prices. A real shame, points in favor, but many points against, mainly due to the service.

Historic place, very informal in the San Lorenzo district, as in the tradition of Roman pizzerias, the pizza is decent but not exceptional for a Roman pizza, prices are normal

Pizzeria Formula 1, located in the San Lorenzo district of Rome, is a point of reference for lovers of authentic pizza. Located in Via degli Equi 13, this pizzeria is known for its informal and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for an evening with friends or family.
The menu offers a wide range of pizzas, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pizza is shallow and crunchy, as the Romans like it, and the fried foods are equally delicious. Among the most popular dishes are battered cod and crostini, as well as desserts such as tiramisu and creme caramel.
The staff is friendly and fast, always ready to satisfy customers' needs. The atmosphere is simple but welcoming, with decor reminiscent of the 70s, making the experience even more authentic.
Overall, Pizzeria Formula 1 is an excellent choice for those looking for a tasty, no-frills meal in the heart of Rome. Enjoy your meal!

Good Roman pizza, disappointing Ascoli olives, in the Roman caciaresque environment

The pizza is good and is a full-blown Roman classic, however, even if it doesn't seem like it from the photos, it is also quite small: it was one of the very rare times in which after a pizza I woke up hungry. Normally I avoid appetizers and starters when I go to a pizzeria (usually the pizza is more than enough), but in this case I recommend taking them - also because the prices are reasonable.

A historic restaurant in San Lorenzo that has never changed both in appearance and in the way it is cooked. I find the best in fried foods made by hand with good quality ingredients

Vera pizza romana. Personale simpatico e sempre attento. Bravi.
