Pizzeria da Gigi In Soriano nel cimino

Passing through Soriano, we stopped at Gigi's. A simple and authentic little restaurant/cafe, in the best sense of the word. The place is traditional and rustic, an experience for non-locals. The menu is dictated verbally; you choose, and then they serve you at your table. We had a gricia, a strozzaprete with creamed artichokes and pancetta for our first course. Generous portions and very tasty pasta, I suspect homemade. We continued with an osso buco and spare ribs/sausage accompanied by turnip greens. Everything was good, simple, and well-made. I also recommend the accompanying focaccia. Very fair price. We'll be back!

The place is pleasant, the service is fast, the staff is friendly, and the prices are really low, especially given the central location. I had a pizza with sausage and potatoes, and it was delicious. Pizzeria da Gigi makes both round pizzas and pizzas by the slice, also for export.

I've been here twice. The pizzas are good, the prices are reasonable, the owners are friendly, and the atmosphere is rustic. I highly recommend it if you're in Soriano and want to have lunch/dinner (or a snack).

Perfect spot for a takeout lunch on my last day in town! I’m sorry I didn’t find it sooner! There’s a buffet style set up with all of the dishes spread out on a counter top. You choose what you would like and they dish it out and heat it up (and in my case pack it up). I ordered chicory greens, a baked seasoned pumpkin dish, a couple of chicken wings(why does chicken in Europe taste so much better than in the United States?!?), ravioli, lasagna and cannelloni and OMG everything was so delicious! I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I HAD to for this place! If you’re ever in town, you should check it out. I didn’t ask, but I got the feeling that they use a lot of local ingredients. Oh, and it’s really affordable. 15 € for all of that and I could only eat half of what I got. But I won’t let it go to waste, I know what I’m eating for dinner tonight!
