I've been wanting to try this historic pizzeria for a long time—ever since I tried the recently opened Milan location—but I haven't had the same positive feedback. The texture/crispness and cooking of my pizza, along with the individual ingredients, are beyond discussion (5 stars). But it's the side dish that unfortunately lowers the overall rating—I don't go somewhere alone just to fill my belly. The side dish is based on how you feel at the table (forgotten), and my attempt at conversation was met with a terse response from two people with no follow-up, despite the fact that two tables, mine included, were occupied and the staff were chatting amiably, good for them, about how hard they'd worked the day before. It's due to the overall conditions (pitch black with only a single LED lamp in the center of the table) and, above all, the absolutely undrinkable coffee that was served afterward, which ruined all the good things that had been so diligently produced beforehand, I'm sure. At the cashier, the undrinkable coffee that ruined the pizza and the rest was pointed out, and—not exactly hastily—the cost was crossed off the receipt (it would have exceeded 30 euros) with the excuse that the coffee maker wasn't "up to temperature." Never mind, I took a couple of hours off to come here, but—despite my ongoing tour of the best pizza makers throughout Italy—all things considered, I don't recommend making trips here just for the pizza. Even though the place is in Veneto, go to Milan instead. I'm sorry: my receipt was no. 0762-0001 dated August 13, 2025. I'll skip the detail that a 0.75-ounce bottle of water costs the same as a good beer, but I had to drive another three hours.... You guys should drink two beers if you can!

Whenever I go to this pizzeria, I'm always satisfied with the quality of the pizzas and the ingredients. The service is also excellent, and the location is really beautiful. I absolutely recommend this pizzeria 👍🏻

Delicious pizza, with a varied menu that encourages you to try new flavors. I believe this pizzeria's reputation is not only deserved but also easy to understand. Small areas where the pizzeria should improve, in my opinion, are 1) the noise level in the dining room, and 2) the biblical wait times, given that the last time my wife and I waited 50 minutes for two pizzas. In the past, I remember they offered a welcome appetizer; last time, they didn't bring one.

I go every chance I get with my mom and her partner, who are madly in love with the pizza: fabulous! It's unlike any other pizza we've tried because of its unique, thin crust and crispy crust enriched with herbs. The lady who greets you at the door is truly sweet and kind, and makes you feel at home.

In un mondo in cui la pizza è spesso trattata come un prodotto seriale, la pizzeria da Ezio riesce nell’impresa di restituirle anima e – soprattutto – sapore. Qui la qualità non è uno slogan: è una scelta quotidiana, visibile (e “gustabile”) in ogni dettaglio. Il vero protagonista? L’impasto. Croccante al punto giusto, fragrante e leggero, rappresenta il valore aggiunto di una proposta che punta in alto senza mai risultare pretenziosa. È proprio quella base a fare la differenza: sostiene gli ingredienti e li esalta, senza mai sovrastarli. A colpire è anche la cura maniacale per le materie prime. Nulla è lasciato al caso. Ogni ingrediente è selezionato con attenzione, puntando solo su prodotti di primissima qualità, che si fanno notare per freschezza e intensità. Il risultato? Un’armonia perfetta tra gusto e misura. Nulla stona, nulla eccede: c’è un assoluto equilibrio nella scelta degli abbinamenti, tra sapori che si rincorrono e si completano. Da Ezio si entra per mangiare una pizza. Ma si esce con la sensazione di aver vissuto un’esperienza. E con il desiderio di tornare al più presto.

Ci sono pizze buone. E poi c'è la Pizza di Ezio. Una di quelle che, una volta assaggiata diventa punto di riferimento. Una stella polare. Un'esperienza. Per l'impasto - prima di tutto - che è un piccolo capolavoro: leggero, digeribile, con una fragranza che conquista già al primo boccone. Una base perfetta per accogliere il meglio della tradizione italiana. Perchè qui si parte dalla storia, ma non ci si ferma alla nostalgia. Il rispetto per le ricette classiche convive con una visione moderna e creativa, in cui ogni combinazione di ingredienti ha un senso, un equilibrio, una logica di gusto. Mai nulla è lasciato al caso. Dal pomodoro alla mozzarella, passando per i prodotti IGP, scelti con cura e abbinati con intelligenza: un vero trionfo di eccellenze, che elevano ogni pizza a racconto gastronomico. Da Ezio a fine cena la sensazione è una sola, quella di aver appena mangiato la miglior pizza in assoluto.

03/09/2025: Good morning, my review concerns the restaurant where I dined on the evening of August 29, 2025. I don't usually write negative reviews; I always give the benefit of the doubt, but it's also true that if you don't write them, everything will always seem perfect. My review is completely divided and divided between the cuisine/food aspect and the location/service aspect. The food, dishes, and quality of the ingredients are excellent, but there are some things I didn't like: a place that presents itself and rightly charges like a good restaurant. I find that when booking, the customer should be informed if their table will not be inside the restaurant but on an outdoor veranda, without any furniture, covered with plastic sheeting and heated with mushrooms (not the edible ones). Once informed, the customer decides whether or not to accept this arrangement. I, as a customer, book to dine at a restaurant. Another thing that didn't work that evening was the service, performed by a very kind young man, but unfortunately he didn't get anything right that evening: no wine list, asked for bread, forgot to bring it when I'd finished, asked for a dessert menu, forgot, I saw them and ordered them online... but I repeat, he was young and kind, it can happen... I find it even more unpleasant, since the owners were directly involved, to place a customer on a veranda without information, unfurnished, noisy because it was raining that evening and making it difficult to talk, and also a bit cold because it was heated with "mushrooms". Would I go back? For the food, definitely; for everything else, I'd have to think about it.
25/08/2025: This is a review of the restaurant. So we asked for a reservation and they said they were fully booked except for one left at 7:45. We got here at 7:45 and we were one of two groups that were here. A total of no more than eight people were here. For the remainder of the next 1.5 hrs, nobody showed up. We had to sit in the back room because they were too busy for us at 7:45 ( mind you only 6 people here). So we had to sit in a room. We could not sit outside, even though there was plenty of seating. It was absolutely shocking to see this. That being said, the food definitely was worth it as much as I would like to give them three stars, for the fact that they stuck us in a back room when nobody was in the restaurant, the food definitely was worth the five stars. The first course was homemade deer Prosciutto served with homemade horseradish and pickles. It was a small serving of bread that was absolutely amazing. The second course included homemade pasta made with local cheeses. Also very good! The main course was the play, which was by far the most tender, flavorful beef we’ve ever had . I highly recommend you get it . The second main course was polenta with a cream sauce, shaved with black truffles and chanterelles. A poached egg on top. I have to say that that was the most delicious polenta I’ve ever had A bottle of wine and they have a very good selection of wine here ranging from €30-€700 . Definitely a must try while here in Cortina D’‘ampzzo. The chef’s name is Luca Menadri and and he has obviously been more trained in the culinary arts. But just remember, you might end up in the back room with no view with an entirely empty at restaurant if you don’t reserve in advance !
