Pizzeria Buca della Fate In Fiesole

I ordered a pizza to go and they told me it would be ready in less than 5 minutes, so I asked them to wait a little longer because I had to go get my car. When I returned, they made me wait at least 20 minutes. The pizza wasn't bad, nothing special. It's one of the few pizzerias in the area if you don't want to go to Florence for dinner, so it could be an option. Just remember that in Italy you always pay per person, so in the case of a pizzeria, it's not justified in my opinion.

Just wonderful pizza. Don't be confused, they only do pizza, but really good pizza. Been to many, they are busy, business like and efficient. You should book. We luckily got in for a one hour slot on a Saturday evening in October without a reservation. Thank you we left full and happy.

Fantastic wood fired pizza and nice atmosphere. Very clean and the wait staff were friendly. I highly recommend.

Excellent quality pizza and desserts

As our last stop on the Via degli Dei, we decided to have lunch at this pizzeria overlooking the town square. Ms. Rita, a very friendly and kind woman, offered excellent service, accompanied by a fantastic pizza I chose with a 5-grain dough. It was delicious. My friends and I enjoyed our meal outside under the gazebo. A highly recommended stop to enjoy the view of Florence.

Got a table on Saturday evening without a reservation. The worst of all, even though almost all the tables were free. Ordering was quick. You could watch the pizza oven and pizza chef at work. The ordered pizzas were on the table within about 5 minutes. Just as it should be. The pizzas were delicious, and the price was right. I didn't tip for two Copertos at €2.50 each.

We were left standing and ignored for over 10 minutes after asking for a table for two. Only after asking three times were we reluctantly seated. The food and wine, however, were incredibly good, and the value for money was also decent.

Excellent pizza with your choice of dough.

The Italian heat didn’t make me hungry for pizza, but when I saw that this restaurant also offered tiramisu, I couldn’t resist trying it. The staff were absolutely lovely, even though my visit was a quick one. They seated me at a table with a beautiful view of the piazza, and my order arrived very quickly. The tiramisu was a delight—probably the best I’ve ever had. When I went to pay, the staff were just as friendly, asking where I was visiting from. I apologised for not having time to try their pizzas, but they assured me it was perfectly fine. I know I’ll visit Fiesole again, and when I do, I’ll definitely be back at Buca delle Fate!
