Da Mamma Ida Di Tahiri Mirsida In Lucca

Walked in late evening and as it turned out it was already closed, Ida was just packing up. But she offered me to make a last quick margarita, which I gladly took. There was a delivery driver waiting for an order who translated everything, since I don't speak Italian. It was a nice authentic friendly experience and the pizza was tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Very rustic, run by the super friendly Mama Ida. She makes really good pizzas in a wood-fired oven. The crust is thin and the toppings are more than generous, with a real tomato flavor. Pizzas in the old town are more expensive and not as good. The seating is very basic, and everything is available to go. We went to Mama Ida's twice in three days.
