Pizzeria Bachler In Castelrotto

We ate at Bachler twice during our stay and were impressed by the quality and service. There's something for everyone on the menu. The daily specials are very good. Friendly, attentive, but never intrusive service. Their own pizza chef prepares pizzas at the oven. Truly a top recommendation.

We were really looking forward to a good pizza and were unfortunately disappointed. The pizza in the photo is my own homemade pizza. I'm used to pizzas from South Tyrol that are completely different. The dough was very light, didn't bubble, and had zero flavor, as is appropriate for a dough made with, for example, Caputo flour. It tasted more like a crispy pie crust. Despite the wood-fired oven, it wasn't a truly good pizza. I can't recommend it. The atmosphere was okay, and the enterprising waiter was very nice. This is what my pizzas at home look like, and they're not from a wood-fired oven.

Once we discovered Bachler, there was no other choice. The food was excellent. The service was not only friendly but also attentive. We were lucky enough to be able to sit on the terrace with a beautiful view in the wonderfully warm weather. The interior could be a bit more comfortable for me—but that's a matter of taste.

We stumbled upon this place spontaneously. The service was super friendly, and despite not having a reservation, we managed to get a table for four. We ordered pizza and the house-made ravioli. The food was incredibly delicious and the price was absolutely reasonable. I definitely recommend it, and I'm surprised it only has a 4.2 rating; we'd give it a higher rating here.

We got two delicious pizzas just before the kitchen closed. The staff was also very friendly, and the view from the terrace was fantastic. We'll be back again!

Excellent terrace with a spectacular view, excellent, refined, and high-quality dishes. I recommend lunch or dinner to everyone.
