Pizzaria Criscemunno In Salerno

Pizzeria overlooking the Duomo and Salerno's historic center. Quality guaranteed. Excellent pizzas, as well as pasta frittatas and rice balls.

The place is pleasant enough when you enter, but we sat in a rather dark corner of the terrace. The "Cenere" pizza was quite good, but the Margherita was too full of provolone and the richness of the sauce was barely noticeable. Service leaves much to be desired. Prices are fair.

My partner and I had dinner at Criscemunno on Saturday evening. We were seated immediately, without a wait, and that was definitely a great start. The location is truly pleasant and well-kept, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and punctual throughout the evening. We had fairly high expectations for the pizza, also given the place's reputation. The quality of the ingredients is evident, no complaints there, but we lacked that "wow" factor we were expecting. The pairings probably weren't our cup of tea—a subjective aspect, but one that impacted the overall experience. ⭐ 3 out of 5 stars This rating is primarily due to the fact that, despite the good service and quality of the ingredients, the pizza didn't fully convince us and didn't meet our expectations.

We've been customers our whole lives, and returning after a year was a testament to the staff's professionalism and courtesy. The quality of the filling remains excellent, but we've noticed a marked change in the dough, now leaning toward whole wheat. We much preferred the previous recipe, which was much lighter. But the 5 stars are well deserved.

A wonderful pizzeria in Salerno serving absolutely delicious pizza and excellent wine. The flavors were authentic and perfectly balanced. The staff were helpful, polite. I would happily return!

Nice place with a beautiful view of the Duomo, good buffalo mozzarella pizza, and delicious, not frozen, French fries!

Recommended by the manager of an apartment a few steps away, I liked the whole complex: the reservation was quick and professional, the staff were kind and smiling, the table for 5 was ready immediately, no wait for drinks and 20 minutes for the pizza. I don't have much to say about the pizza, the ingredients are excellent, the tomato and sausage are definitely above average with grated cheese on top, it's called Diavola Pezzente, I recommend it. I must say the other ones are also superb, masterful leavening and above average size. Very intense amber craft beer. The final price is fair but I would say below average for the quality of the pizza. I haven't tried anything else but I have to say what it is. High-end pizzeria. Specifically, the pizza is exceptional, the staff is perhaps still getting used to it, two at a table but the management is up to par. I'll be back before I leave. Recommended

Excellent pizza, as was the food. The veranda was a bit chilly. Service was good. Recommended.

Good quality pizza and quick service. The place has a touristy feel. However, the men's restroom is in poor condition. Parking is difficult.
