This osteria was recommended to us by the hotel we stayed at, and they couldn't have recommended a better place! The ingredients are top-quality (the tortelli al ragù were truly exceptional), the location is intimate and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive (especially Micol—if I remember correctly the waitress's name—and Mario, who served us). The only flaw—but perhaps it was a one-off—was the wait between courses. Regardless, it was nothing that stopped us from enjoying an excellent dinner.

We had an excellent meal with my family of 5. The pasta - pesto gnocchi, spaghetti carbonara, and pappardelle ragout - were amazing. The steak Florentine was delicious, also. Though considering the price of the steak, I may pass on it next time and just order more pasta - it was so good!
Mario was our waiter and he was wonderful - I recommend the place!

Don’t miss this one. This trattoria is a bit off the beaten path, not far from Piazza Santo Spirito. The service was impeccable. The food was amazing. I had the carbonara and ossobuco. Both were outstanding.

AMAZING food. I came here with my family on a vacation after being in Milan for a couple days. We had just settled in to our Florence apartment, and we wanted to grab some dinner close by. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was blown away by the whole place. It was small, not very fancy, but it wasn’t too loud and the atmosphere was great. The waiters were all very nice and the food was DELICIOUS. Compliments to the chef. Would definitely recommend (especially the Cacio e Pepe).

Absolutely recommend. The best experience I’ve had in Italy even compared to other titled restaurants. Highly recommend to choose Carbonara and Risotto. Very friendly staff.

Ossobuco meat was dry. Waiter was very impatient. At the end take the time to review your bill thoroughly. I found they like to add the unknowns. My bill came out to 86.50 euros and they tried to charge me 104 euros. Now I can see why it doesn't have any lineups. We had a reservation and they tried to put us at a high traffic spot even though there were other tables.
As to the reply from the restaurant. When a restaurant does own up to the problems noted in the review then this should be a red flag to all future clients. I specifically said EUROS SO I MEAN EUROS. What I wrote was the truth.

We visited this restaurant for lunch and, unfortunately, it ended up being one of our least enjoyable meals in Italy. While a few dishes were decent, the lasagna tasted reheated and lacked the freshness we’ve come to expect from Italian cuisine. Given the quality of the food, we found the prices to be quite high and not reflective of the overall experience. Based on our visit, we would not recommend this restaurant.
