Truly a great discovery! Truly original and typical restaurant environment, but showing details of a starred restaurant. Impeccable and professional service! Food, what can I say? The reviews say it already, but the quality of the fresh fish is sublime! Excellent wine list! The price is in line with what is offered! We will definitely be back!

20/05/2025: Our group had a lovely, leisurely lunch. The food was tasty, the service was accommodating (and very understanding of our limited Italian), and the atmosphere was welcoming.

11/05/2025: Hotel in the center of Castelnuovo Garfagnana, a medieval village worth visiting, advises motorcyclists to exit the motorway from Aulla and take Aulla Castelnuovo with hairpin bends and spectacular curves for motorbikes
23/04/2025: We did not stay at the hotel. The food at Da Carlino was typical Garfagnana fare and very good. Service for us "un po" Italiano speaking patrons was gracious. One wait staff for the restaurant on a Wednesday evening was a bit rough. But we are none the worse. We are staying at another hotel in Castelnuovo currently, but if we wanted to explore the town on foot, the location is perfect.
