Piedigrotta In Pavia

This is the restaurant where I've eaten the best ever. The fish is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The appetizers are unique, and the scialatielli are perfect. If you want raw fish, you have to order it the day before, which tells you the quality is high. The prices are reasonable. The place is small, so reservations are recommended. The owner is helpful and very kind, and the house liqueurs (limoncello and meloncello) are excellent. Truly superb!

A nice little restaurant where you can eat delicious seafood in the center of Pavia! The place is small, with obvious signs of age, but overall welcoming, but don't expect a luxurious location. The staff (and the owner) is very courteous and makes sure everything runs smoothly. As a true Neapolitan, he cares about his customers' enjoyment, and there's no arguing about that. The dishes are good, plentiful, and at very fair prices. I would honestly work more on the presentation to showcase the ingredients, but the flavor is there anyway. A dinner at a friend's house—that's what Piedigrotta feels like: friendly service and excellent service. If you want to spend an evening enjoying good food, fine. If you want a more intimate or classy dinner, then look elsewhere, but I don't think that's Piedigrotta's intent.

Piedigrotta Restaurant is always a guarantee. I've been coming here for over 15 years and have never been disappointed, nor have the other diners. Fresh fish, simple dishes cooked with extreme flavor and care, super fair prices, and a welcoming, family atmosphere. There's no need for a menu; let Mario recommend it and you won't regret it!

Everything was excellent, from the food to the service. The place is a bit small, and if you find a noisy table next to you it can be a bit annoying, but I ate very well and had a great time, I will be back.

Small but cozy place. Air conditioning not annoying because it is not pointed at you. Very good food and generous dishes, I would say abundant. The price is more than fair for the service and the menu offered. Very friendly owner.

We ordered a lobster spaghetti for lunch. The portion is generous and you have to order two plates. The price is very reasonable for the amount of lobster (each person gets half of a big lobster). The lobster feels fresh, however, this dish wouldn’t be suitable for a first date if you want to crack and extract the claw meat yourself as things can get messy. Overall, this is an excellent, good valued dish.

Cucina principalmente di pesce, piatti ottimi e abbondanti. I prezzi sono onesti, la location comoda. Vale la pena provarlo, e poi ci si ritorna sempre volentieri.
