The pizzas are very good; I haven't eaten anything else yet. Why 4 stars and not 5? Maybe I was wrong for not looking at all the prices first, but by ordering coffee and a bottle of water, in addition to having to pay service as usual, the bill is quite high, and that's not exactly normal. Basically, coffee is €2.00, water is €2.50...on the other hand, the pizza prices are also slightly lower than the average for Genoa city.

I visited Piedigrotta last month with my friend, and it was an unforgettable experience. The place was buzzing with locals, full of energy, yet the service was warm and attentive. Niccolò and his team made us feel right at home — professional, friendly, and genuinely kind. The Pizza con Tonto was outstanding! A true gem that combines amazing food with real hospitality. I've been here several times lately. Courtesy, politeness, and customer service are paramount. The only drawback is the quality of the food, not so much the restaurant itself, but the pizzas. In my opinion, it's one of the worst I've had recently. Zero leavening, raw dough in the center, and so much oil that it tastes like it's been fried make the pizza incredibly heavy and leave you feeling uncontrollably thirsty. It's a shame because the service is truly efficient!

They make decent pizza, but I don't like the other dishes. I usually try something I haven't had before at this restaurant, and I'm usually disappointed and regret not ordering pizza.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the proprietor is such a genuinely nice person—warm, welcoming, and attentive, which sets a wonderful, relaxed tone for the whole dining experience. ​The food itself is absolutely delicious. We opted for the pizzas, and they were outstanding! Perfectly cooked, fresh ingredients, and packed with flavor—easily some of the best pizza we've had recently. ​Beyond the incredible food and hospitality, the space is a huge plus. The venue is spacious enough to comfortably accommodate any size of group, whether you're having an intimate meal or planning a large gathering with friends or family. ​I highly recommend making a stop at Edo Bar. Fantastic hospitality, big space, and truly delicious food make this place a winner!
17/11/2025: We visited on a busy Sunday at lunchtime. The restaurant was very full so service was quite slow because there were so many tablesbto wait on. It's understandable under the circumstances. The food was good. Rustic, home cooking, comfort food in a family institution. It was a nice experience.
