A true trattoria with typical Roman cuisine, simple but delicious dishes.
The artichokes "alla giudia" and the fried cardoons are excellent.
Good value for money.
Good service and good wine.
100% recommended.

The experience was truly excellent. The restaurant offers traditional Roman cuisine, prepared with great care and using the freshest ingredients, and this is evident in every dish.
We started with a few appetizers, all rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. Next, we sampled several traditional first courses, which truly confirmed the restaurant's quality:
Tonnarelli alla carbonara: creamy, well-seasoned, with crispy, flavorful guanciale.
Rigatoni al cinghiale: flavorful, with an intense, yet smooth wild boar ragù.
Rigatoni all'amatriciana: a classic dish executed to perfection, with a rich, authentic sauce.
The service is impeccable, attentive, and friendly, and helps make the evening even more enjoyable.
A restaurant we highly recommend.

There were seven of us, each of us had an appetizer, a main course, and side dishes. Everything was delicious, especially the meat. The waiter was friendly and helpful. We ordered four bottles of wine, which we thought was a great price. We had a lovely evening and have already recommended it. We'll be back.

A dear friend recommended this place to me, and I must say it didn't disappoint. I was looking for a traditional place to eat well, and I must say I was truly surprised. The welcome was wonderful, and the carbonara and cacio e pepe dishes were excellent. I also wanted to thank the waitress who recommended desserts! That ricotta and sour cherry tart was truly delicious!
I'll definitely be back on my next trip to the Eternal City!

Average location, on a nice street in Testaccio. The food is average, nothing exciting. The bill is very, very high for the price.

Appetizers/first courses/side dishes, good.
Main courses, pretentious: livers "abandoned" on the plate rather than plated. Desserts, average.
Concerns about:
Service: 0-60 minutes, appetizer only. On a paper tablecloth.
Wines: €35/bottle, even local ones (Cesanese). Not good. Especially in Testaccio.
Whiskey: 2cl shot, cognac glass (warms you up), €18. It wasn't a 2022 Macallan 18yr Sherry Oak.
Ambience: Crowded, narrow spaces, challenging acoustics.
For a "Roman" (poor) single-course dinner with a side dish—a bottle for two plus a dessert, on a paper tablecloth, with many other tables crowded together, noise all around—a bill of €75 per person doesn't cut it (and not even €57 without the whiskey).

This place is a true institution in Rome.
The food is excellent, the service is friendly and efficient without being intrusive (which might explain why some people complain), and the atmosphere feels very local and authentic.
Everything we ate was delicious, so good, in fact, that we barely took any photos. A special mention goes to the carciofi alla giudia, which was my favourite dish, as you can see in the pictures. For dessert of course the home made tiramisu!
I can only recommend this place if you’re looking for great food in a genuine Roman setting.

I brought my Italian mother from Edinburgh in Scotland to eat the incredible food at this restaurant. Genuinely the best Italian food ive ever had. Apart from my mothers stuffed artichokes of course (see pic)😇
Our interaction, i fear was lost in translation. Sometimes shit happens.
But can i say this.. restaurants were invented to host those travelling or unable, for what ever reason, to cook for themselves. The Food is subjective, and a mattee of taste but the objective should surely always be kind and gracious hospitality. You may think the opposite of course.
ps. The food is so good we'll have to return, in a disguise😂
