This is a very well thought place in the middle of Trastevere. The ambience is curated, although there is almost too much going on visually—an eclectic mix of textures and decor that borders on over-stimulating—and yet, it somehow works. The atmosphere feels curated rather than cluttered, creating a vibrant, "nice" backdrop that feels right for both a lively date or a spirited dinner with friends. ​The true star of the experience, however, is the menu. It is refreshing to find a kitchen that prioritizes balance and thoughtfulness in its compositions. Each plate feels intentional, avoiding the common trap of over-seasoning or leaning too heavily on a single profile. ​The Standout for me was the "fiore di zucca" wich I would recommend. If you’re looking for a intimate spot with a curated design in the middle of Trastevere this is it.

I discovered this place because they gave me a tasting dinner for two. It was a fantastic experience: enchanting location, delicious food, professional, friendly, and attentive staff. We promised ourselves we'd return very soon. I'm celiac, and they made me forget about it: everything was delicious.

Not that this place needs another positive review. But here it goes! My wife and I booked a reservation here for News Years Eve dinner. It was also my wife’s birthday. Pianostrada knocked this busy evening out of the park. The menu was a set menu that evening. The pairings were perfectly delicious, and perfectly timed. They had a packed out with live music. However, we still felt like we’re being serviced as if we were the only customers in the restaurant! You can tell this restaurant team is perfectly organized. They did not skimp of serving sizes or quality on that busy evening. Plus, the atmosphere in that restaurant is amazing! It’s a very romantic atmosphere. A great place to go on an intimate date! Cuisine & Menu: The kitchen offers a concise menu focused on modern Mediterranean cuisine with regional influences.The selection is varied (featuring fish, meat, and game), though it does not yet align with the standards of more orthodox fine dining. The quality of key ingredients, particularly beef and fish, is nonetheless rated as very good. Pricing & Value Assessment: The aforementioned points constitute the positive notes.However, the pricing structure appears disproportionately high relative to the overall offering, considering the ambience, wine list, and service level. Details such as standard stainless-steel cutlery (not premium grade), placemats instead of full table linens, and narrow, unpadded seating contribute to this perception. A cost breakdown illustrates the point: starters ("bocconcini") at €16-18, primi at €30, secondi at €45, desserts (including standard offerings like tiramisu and ice cream) at €18, and wine by the glass at €16-18. These prices are deemed excessively ambitious for the customer's expenditure, especially given the absence of a starred chef whose reputation typically justifies premium menu pricing. A complete dinner (starter, main, dessert, and a bottle of wine) requires an estimated minimum spend of €120-140 per person. This price point is fully aligned with that of a starred restaurant in the capital. Conclusion: If one intends to allocate such a budget for a dinner experience,it would likely be more justifiably spent at a destination with an established fine-dining and starred pedigree.

Elevated food every step of the way. Fantastic focaccia to start, a wonderful amberjack tartare on a perfect brioche, our mains (lamb and beef) were excellent, and a very tasty begniet dessert was an wonderful way to finish. Easily beat several Michelin-starred restaurants in Rome that we've tried. The only drawback is that it is a little more pricey than we've come to expect in Rome, but again, excellent all around.

If you come to Rome, you simply must come to this restaurant!!! We booked 2 places for 7:00 PM, we arrived on time and were seated on time, they took our coats and seated us at the table, a few moments later they brought us menus. They told us about 2 specials that were not on the menu and offered us water. We took an artichoke special and a dish from the zucchini flower menu, for mains we ordered spaghetti and fish. The dishes arrived quite quickly, the kitchen is an open kitchen so you can see the staff preparing the dishes carefully, the presentation is thoughtful and with a lot of thought. With the starters came focaccia, the best focaccia I have ever eaten, soft as a cloud, wonderful taste! The most wonderful starters, wonderful flavors, the timing between the starters and the mains was perfect. For dessert we ordered a puff pastry (a farewell on the menu) which was perfect.

An absolutely GORGEOUS experience. I went to celebrate my birthday and I am so glad I did. The food was so fresh, and the staff were knowledgeable and kind. This was the best restaurant I’ve been to in Rome.

I had an unforgettable dining experience at this wonderful chef restaurant in Rome. So wonderful that we went twice :) Chefs Paola and Claudio were incredibly warm, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make our evening special. The service was excellent from start to finish, and every dish was both delicious and uniquely crafted. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and full of charm, creating the perfect atmosphere for an exceptional dinner. And above all - Paola’s focaccia!! Absolutely phenomenal! Soft like a cloud and made to perfection… it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had!! Highly recommended for anyone looking for an outstanding culinary experience in Rome!
