I have always frequented the Lido and this piadineria, but this year I was particularly disappointed. Nothing to say about the staff, always very kind and available for any changes, as well as always busy with a sometimes frenetic job, especially when long queues start to form, for example. at dinner time; I'm talking about food instead.
The dough, despite being excessively thick on some days, always remains good, so much so that over the years I have often found myself bringing home packs of piadinas to be filled (upon reservation) for myself and my loved ones, piadinas produced either with standard dough and with less traditional doughs. However, my impression is that over the years the quality has gradually decreased, up to the first and last time I went to "Piadina Ciliegina" this summer, then preferring other piadina shops. In fact, I ordered a piadina filled simply with cooked ham and fontina cheese and I practically found myself having to empty it at the table. This is because the piadina was really excessively stuffed with ham, a factor which contributed to not making me feel any other flavour, but moreover the cold cuts had neither a good appearance nor a good flavour, which is why in the end I found myself actually only eat the piadina with cheese.
In my opinion, the French fries, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside, and the location remain a strong point of the piadineria. In fact, it is possible to eat your piadina in a large and welcoming garden at the back of the kitchen, pleasantly lit in the evening and with a special play area for children. However, something more could be done to eradicate mosquitoes, which are quite annoying every year.
