Petit Gateau In Andria

Petit Gateau isn't just a simple café/pastry shop, but something more that you won't find easily elsewhere. A welcoming, modern dining room with top-of-the-line products. A small disappointment: last week, we returned with my wife and children, but the same girl serving tables wasn't there. She was charming, cute, and, above all, smiling. We were disappointed by a new employee who, besides seeming angry when she showed up to take our order, didn't even say hello. 😔 A place of this caliber needs trained and qualified staff. It's true that you go to Petit Gateau for the high-quality products, but it's also true that the way you are welcomed makes a difference, considering that I travel about 25 km to come to Andria for breakfast, and the same distance to get back.

Excellent little train €2.50, more than well spent

A lovely pastry shop and ice cream shop not far from the city center. We stopped for an aperitivo. The products were good, but the value for money was questionable. A Coke, a glass of prosecco, two aperitivos, and two coffees cost €29. Nice place, but the service was so-so.

I often frequent this café for breakfast: the products are good and the selection is varied, even if the prices are higher than average. Unfortunately, table service is definitely a critical point: the waiting times are often excessive, well beyond normal, even when the place isn't particularly crowded. Added to this is the uninvolved and rather apathetic attitude of the staff, which conveys a sense of detachment and lack of customer care. It's a shame, because with above-average prices, one would expect faster and, above all, more welcoming service. A little more attention, organization, and a little friendliness would be enough to significantly improve the overall experience.
