I went in thinking that a fishmonger with the formula that sells fresh fish but that is also cooked, is usually the best, I enter I see a buffet of variety not like the photos they published on Google super beautiful and luxury but I say ok, I take a seafood supli and I order the linguine allo scoglio, I sit down and the dry supli arrives with no seafood flavor, you could only taste the rice and an aftertaste of shrimp but light, plus cold, I say okay they must have made it in the morning it can be acceptable, then after a reasonable wait the dishes arrive, mine and my colleague's who had asked for the gnocchi with scampi, a few words I see the gnocchi with scampi and the gnocchi with seafood, I say but it's not mine I asked for the linguine, and the owner behind the cash register insisted and irritated with a sulk says, you told me gnocchi alla pescatora, and I laughed: the word gnocchi from my mouth did not come out, anyway I accepted The same thing so as not to create imbalances in the kitchen and I have respect for food so seeing it end up in the bin is no big deal, they asked if I wanted them to remake it for me in a humane way, I said no, don't worry, the taste wasn't bad but it was buffered by the gnocchi in my opinion I cook seafood dishes and gnocchi don't go very well with seafood sauce but it doesn't matter who likes it, in the meantime I understood why they made a mistake and I noticed that the people in line at the counter were repeating what they wanted because they (staff) couldn't hear because of the 1.80-90 meter high counter, plus there's a television with the volume high and they can't hear the customer what he orders, the last icing on the cake was when I was leaving at the entrance there was a fresh fish counter inside the place with flies feasting on the fish, with the entrance doors wide open, I say at least put a curtain at the entrance, the classic ones from fishmongers and butchers that hang at the entrance and are also beautiful to look at like bamboo ties or hanging crystals, have A restaurant in a fishmonger's shop isn't just about cooking 30 different dishes, it's also about paying attention to the details that are the pillars of the restaurant business. Mistakes are human, but then you go and look, and other things pop up that together make the stars fall. The price for a poor supli and a bad first course is €15, which I think is a bit high for a fishmonger's counter.
