07/06/2025: Unfortunately the evening was not perfect: reservation at 8:30 pm on a Saturday. We are 10 minutes late, our fault, by calling to let us know. We are told that there are no problems. Upon arrival our table was no longer available and, to avoid making us wait, we are given a table in a small space in front of the bathroom (not in use). Not bad, but it could have been managed better. We order two pizzas, a diavola and a crispy buffalo mozzarella (buffalo mozzarella added after cooking). Instead of the buffalo mozzarella, a margherita arrives. The waitress who took the order tries to convince us that we had ordered a margherita, but after reminding her how the order went, she is convinced and does her best to have it remade. After the necessary wait, another pizza arrives, again wrong (a margherita with the addition of buffalo mozzarella, burnt). At that point, because I was hungry and the other diner had already finished dinner a while ago, I ate without thinking too much, even though they had told us that if we wanted, they would have made it a third time. Of the two pizzas, one had the same dough, the other, the offending one, was very thin and was burnt.
When paying at the cashier, no word was said about the evening, nor was there any "considerate" treatment: I paid for the pizza that I never received that cost more than the one I actually ate (not that I wanted a €2 discount, but at least to offer a bitter or a coffee to ease the difficulties of the service...).
Overall, nothing tragic, but many small things that could be managed better with a minimum of attention. Surely thanks to the packed house on Saturday night.
02/06/2025: This was our last meal in Galatina and it was a shame we hadn’t booked a table so we had to do carry out pizzas instead. That said, they were so good. Everyone says that the pizza in Naples is mindblowing. But they need to come here to have the best!
